The household apparently forgot that I still have class early in the morning for most of the month - they assumed that since my younger brother's finished (he's a graduating high school senior), I would be free too. It's a good thing Dad was up; he drove me to school instead.

It was really nice, to be honest... it's been a long time since he and I have gone alone in the car like we did earlier. He used to make it a habit, driving me to school back when I was still in Poveda. Might be part of the reason why I survived the hormonal shark's pit that a private Catholic all-girls' school is - talking with him. ♥

Anyway, the day was pretty normal up until after my second class, when Anjo texted me, asking where I was and if I wanted to watch The Watchmen with him.

This entry is LONG OVERDUE, but I've spent the last few days drowning in paperwork -- this was something that I did on purpose, as I wanted to make sure that I did all my teacherly stuff before the actual break. Spent the next few days after that Drowning in Papers whenever I was home and doing school shenanigans whenever I was in Ateneo. Finally managed to finish up everything sometime last night, and today was light and easy. Had my first Christmas party with the English Department. That was pretty much an awesome way to kick off my break. ♥

Goals ~~That Will Probably Not Be Met~~ For Christmas Break 2008:
* Work on my pitch to Image Comics. I'm planning on pitching Endtimes. *crosses fingers*

* Catch up with all the books I've bought but haven't even really cracked open.
* Sort all those images. I HAD A GOOD START.
* Fix my game plan for the rest of the semester with my kids.
* Write more Return on Investment after I've finished all my Christmas gift fics.

My thirteenth month pay thingie came in last week, and Mom just put it on time deposit - this means a huge rate of return in terms of interest every month. This suddenly makes some plans that I had for 2009 very feasible, so I've decided to go for a major Poverty Plan to make sure that I achieve them at the projected dates.

I literally spent all of yesterday lying flat on my back in bed/slouched in my office chair in front of my laptop/rocking back and forth in the rocking chair in my parent's room/at the meal table, playing Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth on the PSP. THAT GAME HAS SWALLOWED ME WHOLE.

Mom jostled me awake a bit too early for my stomach to handle and breakfast wasn't good (pancakes, which would otherwise be okay except my body has had a hard time digesting pastry products and bread in the morning lately), so cue me feeling ill. I was supposed to hang out with

_stillframe_ after doing my grad studies stuff too. Woez. T_T

ANNOUNCEMENT TO SIR DM HUNTERS: Please be informed that he won't be around until... I dunno, tomorrow or Friday? So if you have deadlines (i.e. recommendation letters for grad studies)... well, good luck. He promised my letter on Saturday, but I won't be able to pick it up until after my trip. I've done the paranoid thing and had my old Theology prof Sir Lib sign another recommendation letter just in case.

Beyond that, though, I submitted my application to the English Department in ADMU. Time to hope and wait and pray, folks.

Woke up early because the maid came in to wake Peter up (we've been sharing my brother's old room because air conditioning wins at life), but I ended up rolling around in bed for a little bit before actually getting off my ass. I just came home from doing the following:

Swinging by ADMU in the hopes of getting that last recommendation letter and finally submitting my application form. ...That didn't really happen. ._. SIR DM, COME BACK QUICK.
Dropping by UP and picking up those long-overdue copies of the anthology that I got published in. They told me to come back later in the week -- apparently, UP offices are closed on Mondays right now.
Buying a new CD-R marker, new sticky flag things ~~BECAUSE I LIKE STICKY FLAG THINGS IN MY BOOKS!~~ and two staplers (one small one for my pencil case, and a big one for my desk).
Buying three new cartridges of black ink for the printer, because I really should finish printing the old version of Endtimes so that I can mail it myself and copyright the whole thing.

Spent Saturday out with

yukitsu, where we ate good food and watched Forbidden Kingdom. IDK, PEOPLE, I LIKED IT. I mean, really: how can you go wrong with Jackie Chan and Jet Li in one movie? And, and, it was a nifty take on the whole Journey to the West thing. Or maybe I'm the only one who finds it nifty because I didn't know jack shit about the movie and just watched it because Jackie Chan and Jet Li were both there. *coughs* ANYWAY I LIKED IT.

Of course, beyond the movie there was crack and plotting involved. I gave birth to three new characters, a new pairing and a motherfucking Zombie Attack ala Silent Hill/Resident Evil for Bloodsport. Best thing about the new characters is that I may be able to use them for certain parts of Endtimes. AND TWO OF THEM ARE LIKE MY TRIBUTE TO KATEKYO HITMAN REBORN. *bad fangirl, y/y?*

...Which reminds me: I really have to go over the old profiles and fix them sometime. Yeah. Someday. Uh-huh.

Yukeh and I stayed out til late because the driver had to attend to Peter and my grandma~ that was cool, though, because Yukeh slept over here anyway. Parents and my older brother were out attending a wedding in Pangasinan, so we managed to have another sleepover koushien. For great justice!

Today went by nice and slow. I even managed to sneak in a cigarette. ♥ I may play a bit more of Baroque tomorrow after I get home from doing Ateneo stuff... assuming, of course, that I go out at all. Maybe I'll just run my errands on Wednesday or something. *lazy* I could also spend tomorrow looking for my memory card. It went missing somehow. o_o I'd ask my older brother about it, but he can get annoying to talk to when it comes to stuff like this.

...I really do want to find that memory card though. I mean, if I don't find it, that means I have to restart several games. ._.

Facebook is bad luck: my Internet died on me when I tried to check it earlier, and the connection has been wonky ever since. B|

Right~ should've updated yesterday (Customary Work Post!), but I got lazy. It was a pretty slow day at the office, though... the only real interesting thing I did was go around the South Triangle area and help my little brother take pictures of landmarks. Our brother Pio wants us to take an inventory of all the good places. "Lifestyle pictures", he calls them. It's a good way of advertising to our clients.

Lunch ended up becoming a meeting for the shareholders in the company (my Dad, and the aunts and uncles working with us + Pio), so Peter and I headed down as soon as we were able. Listening to them talk about wage hikes and company funds and stuff was another reminder on how hard it is to be good in this country. Renewed my hatred for ignorant rallyists all the more too. *pif*

Enough of that though. I GOT MY MONEYZ FROM THE BANK FOR THE LAST TWO MONTHS OF WORK. AND I DOWNLOADED LOTS BECAUSE I BROUGHT THE EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE OVER TO LEECH THE BANDWIDTH AND I SUCCEEDED.

Pio played funky music through the day at work -- I only caught some bits and pieces of his playlist, though, since I tend to plug into my earphones when I'm doing my thing. Not too many updates went up for the actual webbie, but I DID get to upload a lot of stuff and start that online archive that I've been meaning to prepare to host the company's critical files. There will be a lot more to look at when I go back to work on Tuesday.

Hurhur. Wrist seems to be good for the most part, so I finally got off my bum and registered at the Rizon web client thing and rejoined the chatroom at #oofuri last night. ♥ I'll have to take it slow though, with the typing and the carrying. I still get these numb bouts and stuff. Makes me wonder if I should go back to the doctor and double check. Maybe get a scan or two also.

...If the wrist wasn't enough of a problem, there's this summer heat too. It's not good for the skin, or for the lips. =_= Been surviving with lip balm for nearly two months now, and it STILL dries up so easily.

Slept relatively early last night, and did Ateneo grad studies stuff in the morning. Ran into a friend on campus, chatted for a bit and generally enjoyed myself. I have to go back on Monday for the last recommendation letter; I'll be able to submit my application by then, if I'm lucky. Front desk people in the grad studies office are lousy though. >_> Srsly, there's no need to be bitchy or act so condescending, man. I mean, fuck, for all you and I know, I could be paying their damned bills by enrolling.

Not doing much of anything at the moment... I just took a break from marathoning the first four episodes of Haibane Renmei, and now I think I'll try and get some writing done. I want to see if I can summarize all of Endtimes -- and I mean, ALL OF ENDTIMES, main story and prequels and sequels and extras and all -- over the summer. I want to make that my big project for the moment.
