On other news, I finished Valkryie Profile a few hours ago. The normal ending is extremely disappointing. >_> And Baccano's OAV doesn't seem to be as interesting as the TV series, IMHO, but it may be too early for me to say.

So here's the lowdown on the teaching thing, as promised... the demo teaching in itself seemed to go okay (class was generally dead, but I managed to get students to recite of their own accord, so~), and apparently the panelists really, really liked me. Panel interview was, uh, interesting, and the talk I had with the department chair after everything wrapped up was enlightening and reassuring at the same time.

I'll know the results within this week, or maybe next week. At this point, it may be safe to say that if I don't get in, it's because there just aren't any openings given the returning faculty members and other factors. Here's hoping, right?

At least I know that I can teach a class. I read the student evaluation sheets, and beyond maybe 2-5 semi-negative ones, the rest sounded like they really liked me. I suppose, if for anything, I can walk away with that.

...Uh, I'd be more in-depth about the actual things that happened, but they're best told in person, so.

I didn't go out last Saturday (surprising, huh?), so I took that opportunity to finish FF7: Crisis Core. Overall, my take on the game is that it wasn't bad at all... fighting system's interesting, graphics are typical Squeenix stellar, and the story, although it has is hitches, singlehandedly retconned and repaired the FF7 canon. I highly recommend all interested parties on my flist to play it if they haven't already. And yes, the ending pretty much sucks for Zack, but he inadvertently saves the Planet by saving Cloud, right? So I guess it works out. Even if he loses all his friends and his girl and his life in the long run. o_o

Once Crisis Core was out of my PSP, I suddenly had a bucketload of freed space. JAD pirated copies apparently curse my machine, so I'll have to wait for my chance to buy an original before I touch that one. I did, however, reload BoF 3 and Harvest Moon unto Kalika!PSP, to be played when I'm up to going back to them. FFT is still sitting around, but I'm so lazy.

I started on Final Fantasy 1 (yes, Final fucking-Fantasy 1, baby~), Valkryie Profile (I don't remember the original version of the game having FMVS! D:) and Tales of Eternia. I'm currently fixated on ToE, but it might be because it's my way of torturing myself over Tales of the Abyss. See, if I go back to ToA, this will be my third time of completely restarting the game. Thank you for getting lost on me, memory card. u_u

...Which reminds me. I have to restart Devil Summoner, don't I? *crai*

On other news, the old school-ness of FF1 compels me to find a way to play Final Fantasy 6. But I guess that won't be happening for a while.

Saturday was Game Day, Sunday was Mother's Day (which is synonymous to Super Family Day, with my out-of-house bros and their wives coming around to hang out with us), and today became Marathoning Tiem Day following my teaching stuff, since the best way to relax after something like that is to completely veg out.

Battlestar Galactica = picking up. Slowly. Maybe. The pace kinda reminds me of Heroes Season 2, so I'm hopeful.

Supernatural = picking up also. I guess.

Code Geass R2 = it's a fucking soap opera. WITH MECHS!

Golgo 13 = Fucking mancake. That girl in the latest ep was such a bint.

Nyaa~~~ I was supposed to try and post here every day for this month, for great flist flooding justice!. ._. Anyhuu.

Yesterday was nutso. Slept late, woke up too early, and yukitsu and khursten invaded my home when I was still trying to find my brain at the breakfast table. All is well and good though~ they made curry and onigiri musube thingies! I WANTS MOAR. ♥

And, after waiting a FULL YEAR, we finally had a full-fledged World of Darkness campaign! My PCs, they are cray-zee. ultra_arvin is just angry all the time though. o_o And hamster_friend and I are still trying to work out the kinks in the system; the combat in WoD is easier to manage than D&D, but there are a few points about the rolling and the guidelines that bother us.

Was tired as hell after we wrapped up for the day, but I didn't let that stop me from going to my high school class reunion. It was a lot more fun than I had expected it to be, and it was a great pleasure seeing some of the girls again and hearing about what's been going on over on their side of the universe. Would've wanted to stay longer, but I was tired and I'm not quite comfortable with the new driver yet.

Would've gone online much earlier this morning, 'cept the temporary charger that Dad lent me kinda started leaking fluid, so we had to gracefully retire it. u_u That left me to go to the mall and get myself a new charger.

BRIEF SEGUE: I have discovered that my older brother Paolo is completely useless as a companion. I say this frankly, and with no malice. Consider this analogy: you have a large, overgrown, antsy kid who you have to literally lead through the crowds by the hand and hope every few seconds that he's not going to get utterly lost. Not good for the heart, yo.

He has also developed a new habit: sucking air between his teeth. So now he constantly taps things AND makes this sound like sipping from the bottom of a can with too little liquid yet. Yes, it's that noisy now.

Bitching aside, I have my charger. Checked the shops for Baroque, but it looks like it's not in stores yet -- that basically leaves me with no choice but to download it and pirate it for myself if I want to check it out. I SUPPOSE it's a bit of a good thing, since I really shouldn't be spending too much cash. I NEEDZ TO EARN MOAR PAY.

Oh, another nice thing is that I got PMed from this Polish author on FF.net... she apparently likes my Code Geass fic so much that she wants to translate it into her native language and post it up for their readers. I'm frankly flattered by this. X3

Today was a pretty slow day on campus -- I only had two classes, and one of them ended up being a sort of field trip down to this exhibit at Dela Costa. Now I'm very curious about Indonesia. @_@

That said, the highlight of the day will have to be finishing Odin Sphere, which I gunned from the moment I got home all the way until this point.

Now that I'm done with Odin Sphere, I can get back to Devil Summoner. I'm already halfway through, I think, but I'm starting to miss going OC with my demons and such. Besides, I need to gather material for that fic I owe kye_kestrel.

Unless something goes terribly wrong between now and later, yukitsu will be accompanying me as I buy my PSP tomorrow. <3333
