Was dragged out of bed early for the usual blood test, although it wasn't AS usual as the others since they drew a lot more blood than usual. orz My arm still hurts. ;A;

Overall, though, the day was lovely and productive! Zipped off to the dermatologist to pick up skin meds and get some more pimples zapped, then I went straight to Ateneo to do a little writing before my meet with the lit committee - we've got a big presentation coming up tomorrow, so all of us wanted to run through the material before the firing squad actual thing.

...I also got to watch BSG S4E12, which srsly made me hate humanity (or at least, some of the characters in the show, who serve as reflections for all the stupid sonnuvabitches in the world) for a bit. This series, it is awesome. It makes you question everything.

Got picked up by Peter after the meeting was finished~ picked up cigarettes for [livejournal.com profile] khursten and [livejournal.com profile] 77ws, then got myself dropped off at U.P. where I met up with [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu, [livejournal.com profile] ficcentricity and [livejournal.com profile] factorielle. Was introduced to the lovely [livejournal.com profile] mushroom18, whom I've just friended back. YAY FOR NEW NAKAMA. \o/

Dragged the koushien home with me after we said our goodbyes to [livejournal.com profile] mushroom18, where [livejournal.com profile] factorielle rolled around in bed for a bit and she and the other two thoroughly enjoyed themselves with the bubble wrap that [livejournal.com profile] g3sh0kku used to store her Christmas gift to me in. ...I guess that's your signal to send in more next time, 69 love. ♥ Anyway, after that craziness came craziness at the dinner table before I saw them off.

I'm chilling out now since I've finished packing - I'll have a pretty full day tomorrow with classes to teach and that big faculty meeting, but I plan on going home during my long break to cool my heels off and make last-minute arrangements. BATANGAS, GET.

Am seriously lagging with fic requests and my own personal quota for editing and writing stuff, and I can blame it on nothing else but me being oddly tired these days. I'm practically narcoleptic in the car, for one... s'like, I drop off to sleep every time I'm idle. *fail*

Here's a semi-peace offering, though. [livejournal.com profile] anothermiyaw celebrated her birthday recently, so this is my long overdue gift to her which is totally small and insignificant compared to the really pretty one [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel wrote for her!.

Title: Be sweet, be false.
Series: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Characters/Pairing(s): Gamma, Uni Giglionero
Rating: G
Summary: A conversation out in the sunlight.
Notes: Set in the distant future, the one Tsuna and the gang recreated after they came back to their time. Uni must be around twenty or so in this fic. The title is taken from the [livejournal.com profile] 31_days theme for August 23, 2007, and I do solemnly swear that this is my fail!attempt at doing their pairing yet again.

540 words.

Now I just need to get fics out for [livejournal.com profile] kasugai_gummie and [livejournal.com profile] mienai_hoshi. @_@
On Battlestar Galactica, Season 4, episode 12:

GOD DAMN IT, BSG.

WHY DO YOU DO THIS EVERY SINGLE TIME?!
So here's the lowdown on the teaching thing, as promised... the demo teaching in itself seemed to go okay (class was generally dead, but I managed to get students to recite of their own accord, so~), and apparently the panelists really, really liked me. Panel interview was, uh, interesting, and the talk I had with the department chair after everything wrapped up was enlightening and reassuring at the same time.

I'll know the results within this week, or maybe next week. At this point, it may be safe to say that if I don't get in, it's because there just aren't any openings given the returning faculty members and other factors. Here's hoping, right?

At least I know that I can teach a class. I read the student evaluation sheets, and beyond maybe 2-5 semi-negative ones, the rest sounded like they really liked me. I suppose, if for anything, I can walk away with that.

...Uh, I'd be more in-depth about the actual things that happened, but they're best told in person, so.

I didn't go out last Saturday (surprising, huh?), so I took that opportunity to finish FF7: Crisis Core. Overall, my take on the game is that it wasn't bad at all... fighting system's interesting, graphics are typical Squeenix stellar, and the story, although it has is hitches, singlehandedly retconned and repaired the FF7 canon. I highly recommend all interested parties on my flist to play it if they haven't already. And yes, the ending pretty much sucks for Zack, but he inadvertently saves the Planet by saving Cloud, right? So I guess it works out. Even if he loses all his friends and his girl and his life in the long run. o_o

Once Crisis Core was out of my PSP, I suddenly had a bucketload of freed space. JAD pirated copies apparently curse my machine, so I'll have to wait for my chance to buy an original before I touch that one. I did, however, reload BoF 3 and Harvest Moon unto Kalika!PSP, to be played when I'm up to going back to them. FFT is still sitting around, but I'm so lazy.

I started on Final Fantasy 1 (yes, Final fucking-Fantasy 1, baby~), Valkryie Profile (I don't remember the original version of the game having FMVS! D:) and Tales of Eternia. I'm currently fixated on ToE, but it might be because it's my way of torturing myself over Tales of the Abyss. See, if I go back to ToA, this will be my third time of completely restarting the game. Thank you for getting lost on me, memory card. u_u

...Which reminds me. I have to restart Devil Summoner, don't I? *crai*

On other news, the old school-ness of FF1 compels me to find a way to play Final Fantasy 6. But I guess that won't be happening for a while.

Saturday was Game Day, Sunday was Mother's Day (which is synonymous to Super Family Day, with my out-of-house bros and their wives coming around to hang out with us), and today became Marathoning Tiem Day following my teaching stuff, since the best way to relax after something like that is to completely veg out.

Battlestar Galactica = picking up. Slowly. Maybe. The pace kinda reminds me of Heroes Season 2, so I'm hopeful.

Supernatural = picking up also. I guess.

House M.D. = I see what you did thar, Amber. B|

Code Geass R2 = it's a fucking soap opera. WITH MECHS!

Golgo 13 = Fucking mancake. That girl in the latest ep was such a bint.

Persona ~Trinity Soul~ = A convoluted story is convoluted~

Iyeah, I really suck at giving reviews. u_u IT'S THE SECOND DAY OF THE BLEEDS FOR ME OKEY.

Now I'm going to go and watch other stuff.
I think my y!m conversation with [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu about covers it.

Me: TANGINA.

So today was spent burning requests for LO discs, hopping around Powerplant with [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu and [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel, joking around with the family members, and burning even MORE LO discs. o_o

Was supposed to watch Spider-man 3 with the girls, but since Lynffles and I were lukewarm and all of us were lazy, we just ended up talking and plotting and generally being silly, which is always refreshing... it's been a long time since I've gotten the chance to unwind.

Am definitely writing Aocalypse Please next.

May will be a busy month, and it's not just because of Lights Out.

...Now, back to Heroes episode 21. Apparently, even Sylar has a conscience. @_@

I want more Battlestar Galactica. .___.

[EDIT, 20 minutes later]: ....[livejournal.com profile] tristantrakand has just told me news that completely blew my brain in a very, very, VERY good and life-changing way.

*wanders away to brush the dust off Endtimes*

See me attempt to break my longest-running record for consecutive, day-to-day LJ posts! :O

*is shot*

...The more I fiddle with my WordPress account, the more I want to move everything I have to WP and only WP. I hesitate, though, because LJ has the whole flist/community thing going, and I really, really like that. I guess I'll keep running both just because they're both pretty. Watch me too: I'm eventually going to go obsessive compulsive and learn how to do things on WP for myself. For now, I will resort to begging my cousin for assistance. @_@

Btw, [livejournal.com profile] soggy_biscuit: I'm on episode 13 of Battlestar Galactica, and the only thing that's keeping me from gunning the rest is Lights Out business. I can see why you couldn't sleep after watching episode 11. :p

Still waiting to see if [livejournal.com profile] endtimes will be purged. If it does get cleaned up. I am definitely snagging that username for myself. >_>

I'll be abusing that burner again the moment I get home. BSG awaits! D:
...Or in this case, specifically Battlestar Galactica. o_o

I realize that it's a slightly painful experience, watching a series that already has its next season (or two or more) out. It's like, you want to know what happens to certain people, but you can kinda guess it already because hey, there are other seasons and they really can't afford to lose that guy or this girl or so. This happened to me with Queer as Folk, the L Word and House so far. Do you folks ever get that feeling?

I can't say it enough: I love Battlestar Galactica, and I might even consider finding a copy of the old version even though I know I'm going to murder myself on the campy and bad hairdos and the fact that Starbuck is a mancake rather than a hot chick. It's helping the plot bunnies for Apocalypse Please too. Like, how Commander Adama likes assembling and painting model ships. I'd think one of the Mordechais would have that talent... gun assembly doesn't really count, I'd think. It was something they learned out of necessity and all that army jazz.

*cough* So anyway. It's fucking hot down here, isn't it?
Boomer went bye-bye. T___T

Oh, and is it just me or does someone else out there want Ellen Tigh dead?

Thank god he didn't die.
