For those of you who didn't know, I just spent the last four days in Coron, Palawan.

Took lots of pics and wrote a lot, so I'll be splitting the entries up to save everyone's browsers. orz

May 29 to June 1. )

Part Two is over here!

50202 / 50000 words. 100% done!

I actually gunned the remaining 8,000 words that I had in a single seating on Thursday, but I got lazy to post about it until now. XD

Fastest NaNo completion I've had yet, but this was, perhaps, my hardest year doing it. Will use the time I've got left to take a break and go back to absorbing new material in preparation for Christmas.

QUICK PLUGS:
+ My Christmas Wishlist! ♥
+ Katekyo Hitman Reborn Fanmix. Dino Cavallone & Hibari Kyouya - From Year Zero to Ten.

Some people, [livejournal.com profile] _sabriel included, have been asking me about the books that I want, since I mentioned it as one of my items and I wasn't very specific. So here is a shortlist! )

Here's some real life updates.

I HAVE AN MA CLASS AGAIN. After all the heartache, the chair of my department stepped in when she found out that I'll be forced on a leave of absence due to the dissolving of all the classes that I could have enrolled in, so she has offered to hold a Development of Drama tutorial for me, one-on-one. What does this mean?

A.) We only meet a few times in the semester, and on our own terms.
B.) I do all the studying on my own, as I see fit.
C.) MY TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS AND SATURDAYS ARE PRETTY MUCH FREE MOST OF THE TIME! \o/
D.) Since I have more free time, I'll likely be using it to relax, step up my game with my teaching, write more, and finally go to driving school. CAN HAS WHEELS SOON.

I'm hella lucky, because Doctor Lulu is one of the best professors we've got. Now I'll have the privilege of learning under her in a very intimate setting.

On other school-related things: am getting my pace with my En12 and Lit14 classes. Looks like it won't be nearly as bad as I thought it would be. ...Then again, it may be too early to tell at this point.

Also: the new Rizal Library is kind of. Um. Shiny.

There's nothing like having a great set of friends to show you that life isn't difficult at all; merely interesting. ♥

The household apparently forgot that I still have class early in the morning for most of the month - they assumed that since my younger brother's finished (he's a graduating high school senior), I would be free too. It's a good thing Dad was up; he drove me to school instead.

It was really nice, to be honest... it's been a long time since he and I have gone alone in the car like we did earlier. He used to make it a habit, driving me to school back when I was still in Poveda. Might be part of the reason why I survived the hormonal shark's pit that a private Catholic all-girls' school is - talking with him. ♥

Anyway, the day was pretty normal up until after my second class, when Anjo texted me, asking where I was and if I wanted to watch The Watchmen with him.

My answer?

FUCK YES.

asl;dkhgkl;ashlgkhashd;gh

asdklgh;lksdhgshdf;kgdf;gklhdsfh

asldkgh;lkahsd;hg;khasdkhgkhasdhg--

Just.

Um.

...

There are no words.

Movies like this? They give you that level of Inspired and Awesome that saturates you so much that you want to write or channel it somewhere but fuck. Fuck. There are no words.

Currently reconnecting with my notes and old works for Endtimes. Looks like I've got something to do over the summer, beyond RP and Return on Investment.

Speaking of summer: still haven't decided on whether I want to take summer class or not. We'll see. I kinda want a real break.

And fuck.

Guys.

Watch it.

Oh and hope that you catch the trailer for Transformers BECAUSE FUCK THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL TOO-- *brainsplode*
All of these long weekends are going to make me so lazy. The fact that Christmas vacation is right around the corner doesn't really help either, I think. |D

So! What was I up to this weekend... stayed on campus til late on Friday for a meeting, hopped around with [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu in Shangrila after class on Saturday, then spent the whole day with her, [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel, [livejournal.com profile] khursten, [livejournal.com profile] synatri (THE MYTHICAL CREATURE IN OUR PARTY!), [livejournal.com profile] ficcentricity, [livejournal.com profile] anothermiyaw, [livejournal.com profile] lonelybusiness and [livejournal.com profile] 77ws. We ate at Emerald (DELISHUS HUEG CRABS ARE DELISHUS AND HUEG!), then zipped over to Greenhills to buy Kat's DS and generally to stupid and fun things together. Came home really late, but the folks didn't seem to mind. [livejournal.com profile] khursten, bb, thank you so much for taking me home! ♥

Have deferred Serious Business and modly duties for a bit in order to get cranking on my 25-drabble birthday gift for [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel, the drabbles I owe [livejournal.com profile] psychoshoujo for her birthday way back when, and all the other Christmas drabbles that people have requested so far. If you still haven't requested, go here and poke me with watcha want!

I HAVE, however, completed some of the Christmas gifts already. Here's a list of the ones I've posted so far:

+ KHR, SB!6918 (for [livejournal.com profile] a_lighter_side)
+ Oofuri, semi-Chiyo/Rio (for [livejournal.com profile] m_moneypenny)
+ Lucifer + Sandman, Lucifer pr0n & Mazikeen introspection (for [livejournal.com profile] lethologica)
+ KHR, 5927 fluff (for [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel)

Will be pimping them as I finish them, but expect a master list up on Christmas Day OR whenever I finish the whole set.

~~~~ /o/ *goes back to writing! Extremely!*
IRON MAN FOR THE WIN!
It was awesome.
There are no other words.
Marvel, I'm so proud of you! ;_;
SO YAY FOR TODAY AND YAY FOR [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu, PROUD OWNER OF DS!IZUMI.
U-uh, I'd talk more about the day, but it was pretty much awesome too and awesome sums up everything. @_@ Oh yeah, I took my entrance exam in the morning. Vaguely felt like the ACET on steroids.
The real purpose of this post was so that I could flash this:
This amuses me beyond measure. Perhaps a job change is in order? o_O
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Righto. Yesterday was rough, but the Zen Meter filled out relatively fast due to the good company of friends and my own parents. I was supposed to sleep in and chillax for the day, but Graduation Paranoia kicked in and I ended up leaving in the morning to attend to clearance. The good thing is, I got 98% of it done (I just have to check back tomorrow and send the form to its proper place), and I was able to get some information on the actual ceremony and stuff. You know how it is with my university -- they leave super seniors to sorta fend for themselves.
On another note, I got to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] miyachan after so long, and hung out a bit with [livejournal.com profile] hamster_friend. And I ate all my cookies while I was waiting around. And played more Breath of Fire III.
...Which reminds me. [livejournal.com profile] khursten, the copy that I downloaded of Janne D'arc is corrupted, and that's already the one I got from the webbie that you referred me to. ._. Maybe I can try out the one Melz has? Or maybe I should just buy an original UMD. *crai*
I've decided to spend the rest of the day until whenever catching up on backlogged manga downloads and possibly picking up Katekyoushi Hitman Reborn! while I'm at it. My Muse is still KO'd from the abuse I put her through for the World of Darkness campaign, so I'll need to give her some time. *fufufu* When she DOES return, however...
Polls are fun! )
I used radio buttons because some of you cheat and just say "ANYTHING GOES! :D" all the time. Er. Just comment if you have questions and stuff. ;_;
[livejournal.com profile] maxim_omega: i guess you girls can kiss the bruce-clark ghey pairing goodbye then.
Me: excuse me?
[livejournal.com profile] maxim_omega: DC might kill of the man behind the cowl this april.
[livejournal.com profile] maxim_omega: really retarted move if you ask me.
Me: lol. yeah.
Me: and btw.
Me: the death of one side of a pair has never stopped fangirls before. :p
[livejournal.com profile] maxim_omega: ...
Me: just saying. :D
[livejournal.com profile] maxim_omega: *slowly walks away*
Seriously, though.
[livejournal.com profile] maxim_omega: if they kill off bruce, I'm never picking up a DC comic ever again.
[livejournal.com profile] maxim_omega: it has a poorly imitated captain america sales gimick written all over it.
Me: lol, yeah.
DO YOU HEAR ME, DC COMICS? YOU BETTER.
Oh, and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, F-LIST!
THE GOOD NEWS: My family is pushing for my grandfather to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, with full honors as a World War II veteran. This will leave my Saturday open for NWA (will prolly have to charter my own way there and back though), and I won't miss my Dev of Fiction class.
THE NOT-SO-GOOD NEWS: If this really pushes through, then the funeral has been moved to Tuesday. I will end up missing Comics Class, and the presentation we were supposed to have of our original characters and the final project we're supposed to do.
And on other things... )
Staying home tonight -- there's stuff to watch, things to edit, a book to read and school work to do. For the moment, however, I'm going to go back to watching Kekkaishi and crossing my fingers for Devil May Cry 3. The past two episodes have been rather... disappointing.
