IRON MAN FOR THE WIN!

It was awesome.

There are no other words.

Marvel, I'm so proud of you! ;_;

SO YAY FOR TODAY AND YAY FOR [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu, PROUD OWNER OF DS!IZUMI.

U-uh, I'd talk more about the day, but it was pretty much awesome too and awesome sums up everything. @_@ Oh yeah, I took my entrance exam in the morning. Vaguely felt like the ACET on steroids.

HELL YES, IRONMAN FTW. Robert Downey Jr was absolutely amazing in every way. <3<3<3<3

Stan Lee's cameo was utterly hilarious. Way better than the Spiderman ones.

IRON MAAAAN <3

Best Marvel movie ever. Did you stay 'til after the credits? :D

From: [identity profile] izkariote.livejournal.com

Yes, you absolutely have to~ it's their build-up for the next two movies. ♥

From: [identity profile] izkariote.livejournal.com

YES I DID BECAUSE I KNEW NICK FURY WAS GOING TO COME OUT. X3

Holy cow, yeah! IRON MAN WAS WHOA. XD

Next up, The Dark Knight! :)

From: [identity profile] izkariote.livejournal.com

Yeah, it actually caught me by surprise. @ Iron Man. I mean, Marvel's recent track record with movies hasn't been very good, so...

OMG DARK KNIGHT. *is still a DC fan at heart!*

From: [identity profile] verjill.livejournal.com

Robert Downey Jr. was just so PERFECT for that role. :O Not to mention hot holy shiiiit look at how ripped he is

That dumb-dumb fire extinguisher robot was so cute. :D

Funny too, because fans of the comic book had their serious doubts about the casting. I'm glad it worked out.

From: [identity profile] verjill.livejournal.com

I'm not even a fan of the comic book and I went, "Huhhwuttt?" when I learned that RDJ was cast as Tony Stark. He didn't seem like the actor who would even *fit* in a superhero movie, so I had some reservations when I first watched it.

I can't wait for Dark Knight. XD It'd be like the battle between two playboy billionaires, though I'm all for singing Kumbaya and I want the two of them to team up for major pwnage. :D

this is gizmo channeling reg : P (but i'll stop speaking in th third person)

I KNOW! It was so GOOD. ever read the Ultimates and they were talking about who'd cast em? hehe. it really DID fit! :D

And surprisingly so. A few people I know had their doubts about it, so I guess Iron Man was a pleasant surprise for them. :o

props to the beefy Jon Favreu for actually being the director of this whole thing and delivering exceptionally @_@

I successfully pimped Iron Man to my family today, even my Mom. XD

Then Dad had to go ruin the mood by saying once again, "I predict that this place is going to go bankrupt," when we passed by Penang Hill.

... Now that I think about it, I should have made a wager. With real money.

From: [identity profile] izkariote.livejournal.com

They predict that it may meet or exceed the records set by X-Men 1 and Spider-man. You know. The only recent Marvel movies that really worked. o_O

...Know-it-all Chinese men. *pif*

Yeah, actually, you should. If there's anything a guy like that can't stand, it's losing a bet. XD

Figures are something like, tenth biggest opening of all time, and fourth biggest opening for a superhero movie, and then second biggest opening for a nonsequel - Spiderman 1 beat it by 14M.

I have to struggle to keep myself from making plans to introduce the family to Burgoo or Pho Hoa... He thinks the noodles we had at Pho Hoa are "expensive". >_> Scrooge.
