Classes went by in a blur for me yesterday because I used the periods to finish my Lit Conference Powerpoint Presentation of Doom. Thesis tends to make delinquents out of students. @_@ The good news is that I finished it and it looks awesome.

Thesis class was reserved for last minute preparations and a pep talk from Sir DM's end... it was the usual "If they torch you during the conference it's not because they don't like you!" spiel. x_X Missed out on the Formations meeting (FORGIVE ME [livejournal.com profile] hamster_friend + [livejournal.com profile] ryvaeus!!!!111oneoneone) because the Punzalans had a Family Dinner in lieu of Liza and Liana leaving on Monday. Petrik and Yas + Anika were around, although they had to leave early because Petrik had a flight to The Land of Kimchi later in the evening. Pio and Mai Mai slept over... I got to show off my Lit Conference Powerpoint Presentation of Doom to Mai Mai and Pio leeched some titles from my hentai stash, but Mai Mai is not supposed to know that. o_o

Oh, interesting thing happened yesterday... this sucker added me on Twitter. I didn't add back, and sent the following message:

@gloriaresign: What makes you think I'm interested in what you're going for? Either de-follow me or I'm blocking you.

Let's get a few things straight: I'd like to think I'm not apolitical. I care about the country. In spite of the shit, I care a lot. But srsly. Dissidents stalking people on Twitter just because they're from the same country? Who the hell gave them THAT bright idea?

Furthermore, as my twit said: why would they think that I care about what they're pushing? Do they even realize what they're talking about? Or are they just a bunch of jobless fucks who mooch off the taxes that my parents pay and waste my time with their stupid rallies in Makati? Maybe they ought to think about not evading taxes and doing something with their lives before they think they have the right to tell anyone to step down. FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS EARNED, BITCHES.

This insults my intelligence in more ways than I can count.

[/rant]

Anyway, I'm staying home this weekend to ideally study for my Theology final exam and most definitely work on my lit conference stuff. [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu might be swinging by later after visiting the 5-star Hotel for Dead People. Chinese burial ceremonies and all. In lieu of her absence, I have put my brand new Power Mix (aka, dancey [livejournal.com profile] fsts for Persona 3, SMT: Devil Summoner - Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army and Sentou Yousei Yukikaze and some techno/industrial/hard rock ones that I made way back for Bus Gamer and Devil May Cry) on my playlist in order to help me get in the groove.
I think I'm going to end up making an LJ post every time I have to report to work at my dad's office... turns out my Dad needs me to draw up my own billing, and LJ has already served as a reference for me twice already. o_o Anyhuu, the company website is practically done -- the only thing that's missing is all the data on the company's projects and the sales & marketing stuff. It's hard to gather everything though; I've been asking for that stuff since I started working on the site, and I can't exactly ask my Dad for it.

[/end pseudo-rant]

On more fangirl news, my ToA copy is starting to fess up which is sad because if it stops working before I get to meet (and hear) Dist I'll miss out on the gayness! and I just watched episode two of Persona ~Trinity Soul~. A point from one of the members of [livejournal.com profile] gekkoukanhigh got me thinking: it's possible that Ryohei's informant (the guy he's always talking on the cellular phone with) is Akihiko. The voice actor is apparently the same, and... well, there have been WAY too many Persona 3-related Easter eggs in the series to ignore so far. o_O

If Persona ~Trinity Soul~ ends up directly connected to the game, that MIGHT effect the plans I had for this longfic that I was going to set around 30 years after Persona 3. ...Then again, it might not.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a very light day for me, but I've a Formations session scheduled in the afternoon. Why do org things always fall on the rare times when more than one of my classes is a free cut? T_T

Oh yah! I'm still looking for prompts, people!
So, following Weird-As-Hell Wednesday:

Thursday: Work, work, work -- still getting used to CMS. Much luff to [livejournal.com profile] khursten for putting up with my whining and helping me fix stuff. At least MOST of the site is ready for public viewing though. If there is one thing I've learned, it's that I need Adobe Photoshop.

Friday: I was supposed to hold the regularly scheduled Friday Meeting for Formations, but I wanted to take advantage of the few times that my last class for the day gives a free cut... I've a feeling I'll be needing the rest, given my hell week to come.

Saturday: Fitted my dress for the final time at Makati (Anika looked like a blue fairy princess! *_*), joined my parents for their lunch reunion thing with my dad's genius block from grade school-high school-college (yes, I'm surprised at the fact that my dad has friends too) and then spent the rest of the afternoon with [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu and [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel, with a guest appearance from [livejournal.com profile] sindapa. We watched Golden Compass for Nicole Kidman and the polar bears. Can't say anything beyond the fact that the movie was pretty.

After [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel headed home, Yukeh and I joined up with [livejournal.com profile] psychoshoujo, [livejournal.com profile] team7, [livejournal.com profile] lonelybusiness, [livejournal.com profile] saisun and Angel for dinner and bitchery over stupid people. Traffic was horrid, so most of us stayed behind for cake, fun and LOL-Cats!Speak. And I got to sleep earlier than 1 AM for once.

So now it's Sunday, and I have my brothers watching Smallville on the laptop while I mull over exactly how I'm supposed to do that bonus paper for Theology. I've got a talk & thesis consultation to attend to tomorrow, work on Tuesday, Theology tests + Litsoc party on Wednesday, and work again on Thursday. ...At least I don't have Theo on Friday. Here's hoping that the rest of my classes give out free cuts too. :3
About the only things I managed to achieve today were:

A.) Going to the doctor to zap more hair off my upper lip.
B.) Manning the Litsoc Book Sale area while everyone else had class.

I was supposed to go to class, meet up with people and help out with the Formations talk this afternoon, but I forgot all my notebooks/readings at home, along with the one extra battery for my cellular phone. The latter part shouldn't have been a problem, but it just had to happen on the one day my phone died. T_T Scratch that. I just rummaged around in my bag and discovered that it was there all along. *fail!!!*

I suppose I should consider myself lucky that one class and my thesis consultation were canceled.

...Somebody convince me to finish Mists of Avalon. It's such a long and boring and estrogen-pumped book that not even the possibility of a Arthur/Gwenhyfar/Lancelot threesome can jostle me into picking it up again. I've finished about 3-4 novels aside from the damned book already. >_<

I think I'm high on paint fumes right now. So much for reviewing Theology and putting in more Odin Sphere tiem.

On another note, I'd devote this entry to talking about the general stupidity of people who think that a certain group invited to a certain convention for their so-called "avant-garde" work are TEH AWESUM AND WOW AND DA BEST THING SINCE FLAVORED TOOTHPASTE!, but I think everything that needs to be said has been said by better people than myself.

Maybe I'll just post about it elsewhere.

...I'm hee-hoing.

DAMN IT, [livejournal.com profile] sindapa, THIS IS YOUR FAULT.

Er. So right now I'm in the office, downloading pr0n Wordpress themes. I managed to set up the portal for the company website (pathetic-looking, I know), so now I'm just gathering all the files I need and mulling over how I'm going to build everything else. I'm seriously considering using the Wordpress CMS as my backend for... well, just about everything. It seems a whole lot more appealing than HTMLing my ass off. It's been too long since I've touched codes, and the easier the interface, the happier I'll be.

Yesterday was Cut Class All Day and Do Org Stuff Day. Spread AWKWARD TURTLES! love to all the Litsoc people manning the book sale, and hung out with [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu. Wasn't able to put in any Odin Sphere tiem because I had to gun around 18 readings for Theology class. Turns out I'll have a long test soon.

Peter was tipsy the other night and insisted on sitting in the back with me -- I won't explain how, but let's just say that my ear got caught by the snapping handles of my plastic case and verily ripped my right earring off. So I'm earring-less again, and not very happy about it. ALL THAT EFFORT GOING NOWHERE.

Lesson learned: Bap Baby Brother next time he drinks on a school night.

Hur hur. Formations meet tomorrow, along with a quiz in Theo. Saturday will quite possibly be eaten up by Read or Die duties, which leaves Sunday for bumming. I'm sort of in limbo because my thesis is finished (for the moment), and I'm hoping to get some writing done. As I've told [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu and a few others, I can no longer churn out page after page of shit then go "OMG LOOKIT WORLD I WROTEZ SOMETHINGZ!" in good faith. It's not so much the feedback I dread, but the very idea of me putting out something that just doesn't match up. Then there's the fact that I just don't seem to have the time to really sit down and write because of school and other RL things.

Then there's the sheer number of projects I've accumulated, and am actually considering doing. After spending nearly every free moment I had writing in my first and second years, I devoted my third through fifth years of college to RL duties/reading. And you know how writers just absorb ideas and inspiration wherever they may find it. It's both thrilling and frustrating to have all this stuff stocked up and have no way of really channeling it out because there's simply no means to do so yet.

...Oh, the agony of writing. At least I've gotten much better. I think. x_X

That reminds me. I really ought to fix up the next chapters of my India submission. I haven't been able to focus on it at all for more than a few months now. Shoutout to [livejournal.com profile] redplasticglass and [livejournal.com profile] subdivided: I am so sorry I haven't been in touch and all. >_

This entry was brought to you by a meme from [livejournal.com profile] hamster_friend.

The rules are easy, just post 10 things that recently made you happy! Then tag 10 people and force them to post this meme on their LJs. Because it is good. Everyone needs a little happiness once in a while.

1. GETTING A PS2 THAT'S SMALL AND THIN AND SILVER AND PRETTY!
2. Getting a paid LJ account. *worships [livejournal.com profile] xiaoniu and [livejournal.com profile] girl_blunder*
3. Having an epiphany for my thesis and doing the research for it.
4. Putting work in for Formations and seeing results.
5. Having only a single class on MWF and absolutely free TThs until December 3.
6. Listening to the Indie Rock playlist goodies that I've been getting off BT.
7. Using the wireless controller for my PS2. *ufufu*
8. Talking to my mom about how much my brother pisses me off and seeing her actually listen this time.
9. Having more than 6-15 icons to rotate on LJ.
10. The weather. And the fact that the worst did not hit the city.

Tagging whoever wants to do this. o_o

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LOOK I FIXED ALL MY ICONS!

*cough*

So yesterday I was dragged straight out of bed and onto the road because my mom had told the pest control peeps to come over for the rats sometime last week and proceeded to completely forget about it until yesterday. Cue me, her and my grandmother going to Tomas Morato to eat a HUEG! lunch at Heaven n' Eggs before we were allowed to go home. That's the only time I found out about the earthquake.

[livejournal.com profile] macgirl_13 had a good point about our country... some crazy shit goes on when you happen here. Imagine. Two typhoons, AND an earthquake? I mean, does that happen in the places across the ocean? o_O

Anyway, where I should have been working on my thesis, I ended up putting in some Odin Sphere time on PS2!Hikaru. My copy of the game eventually works with enough time and patience, but I think I ought to buy another one just in case the one I have at hand fails completely. [livejournal.com profile] sindapa, I AM BECOMING AN ATLUS WHORE AGAIN.

Got one class today, so I'm going to take advantage of all the free time and put in more research for my wild, naked-dancing worship of the Devil The Thesis of Doomz. I don't think I'll make the December 3 deadline I set for myself (because I am a slacker, yo), but I'll at least have gotten most of the work out of my hair by the time it comes around.
I just spent about an hour flat on my back in bed, reading my handouts. Yesterday's workout and gallivanting around with [livejournal.com profile] archangel_dream, [livejournal.com profile] ravyn_ashling, [livejournal.com profile] dadomz and [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu (with guest appearances by [livejournal.com profile] xhael and [livejournal.com profile] miyachan with the invisible presence of [livejournal.com profile] sindapa) left me achy all of today. @_@

Crowd at Jasper's Book Sale of Doom (LAST DAY, YAY FOR MY POCKET! ONOZ!) was crazy as always: [livejournal.com profile] hamster_friend was there, along with the old Litsoc crew. The only annoyance was one particularly opinionated young lit major who was manning the booth with us. I'm counting on Pulan to set her straight in the future.

Ah yeah. [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel, if you still want a Moleskine, I may be able to arrange for it outside of the book sale. Just let me know. :3

Shakespeare report went swimmingly, although the sudden turn in weather made me regret the fact that I was discussing Midsummer Night's Dream and not The Tempest. Litsoc film showing went pretty well too, although I didn't stick around to watch: it was Spirited Away with horrid Chinese subtitles.

Reminder to self: bring your swanky digital copy. Y'know, the one with good translations. >_>

I've read up for tomorrow's class (literary motif + a story on love + one of Nick Joaquin's drunken spree works), and now I'm just about ready to marathon/read backlogged manga/fix files. [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu will be coming over after class, and the two of us shall proceed to chill out and spend absolutely no money. This week has been pretty crazy, so that sort of slow down is right up my alley.

*stares at [livejournal.com profile] stitchedophelia*

Half of me regrets the fact that I really haven't been able to write creatively as of late. I've been editing older projects and I made a few scribbles in The Holy Moleskine, but beyond that there just hasn't been any time for it. On the upside, however, I've been gobbling books up like crazy since the school year began. It started with Lovecraft -- now I'm plowing through speculative history. Jasper's Book Sale of Doom didn't help at all: I now have even MORE books on the growing hit list. =_=

On another note, my Saint Seiya download still isn't done. ;_;

So Panzer Division tackled its first session for [livejournal.com profile] seranx's Atropal War, and from the way I see it things went swimmingly. Congratulations, all, and thanks especially to [livejournal.com profile] miguel_zeruel for joining the DM team and [livejournal.com profile] cpon_prod for helping the boys set up the playing field (and providing those wonderful character markers!). :3

Was supposed to go swimming with the folks this morning, but I couldn't rouse myself in time -- my hours at the part-time and the weather are both making it extremely difficult to wake up before 10:30, or 11:00 if I sleep particularly early, as in morning hours early night before. Aidan!Laptop's giving me some trouble because of some Trojan, but I THINK it's been cleaned up. I THINK. I'm running another scan with another program just to be absolutely certain.

Now how I got that Trojan? No clue. Flashdisk!Rethe is perfectly clean. *checked how many times?*

Mass in the afternoon -- I don't think it'll be in Tagalog, and really, that's a good thing. The choir they get for the 4:30 PM mass in my community is really sucky, and the priests usually aren't all that either... those factors are enough of a brain fry for me. Now what more if I couldn't fully understand the celebration? @_@

Before I bugger about that, I'm going to wind down a bit and read up on World of Darkness and all the other White Wolf systems under it some more. While nothing can beat the good old high fantasy and hack n' slash of Dungeons & Dragons, I feel that WoD is a system more suited to my tastes and to the fact that numbers and I just don't get along.

On other news, Litsoc is supposed to have its Plansem at my house tomorrow and nobody -- and I mean nobody -- seems to have taken any initiative towards setting things in stone.
