...So after attending a bit of the RoD meeting, [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu and I stroll around Robinson's Galleria a bit. Comic Odyssey turned up Danger Girl and Fables 3, with the former being relatively cheap but beyond my budget given its priority on my list and the latter being horrendously overpriced. Then we go to Bestsellers, the book store the club was going to check out after their meeting.

There are no words to describe what happened next. Let's just say that I completed Fables, Lucifer and Temeraire all in one fell swoop. My ATM account might as well be dead, but crap, am I happy.

Sunday = Bookshelf Fixing Day. Again. @_@

On other news, there's a lot on RoD's plate this year, but everything looks worth it... I'll be blogging muchly for the club in the days to come, most especially for this weekend and all of next week. And some of the more tedious pre-convention tasks for LO have been completed to satisfaction. So far it's all systems go for the 26th.

I haven't smoked for practically eight days. I've been chewing out of the side of my mouth for four, and I'm dealing with sores on my left cheek because one of the problem teeth or maybe I need braces to set them right or something. I still have three fillings to go. The nurse that doesn't really know what she's doing at times in the dentist's office has smiled and informed me that the next fillings are smaller (and therefore, less tedious for me to go through).

It's official. I no longer like dental check-ups, or more accurately, I like them even less than I did before. Vaguely I've wondered if they're somewhere up there with getting sliced open. Probably not, but since that hasn't happened to me I'd like to compare it to such anyway.

On lighter news, Panzer Division is finally assembling again tomorrow, after much drama, senior year and a super typhoon. And Chapter 1 of my thesis is due on Monday. Good thing I'm three-fourths done with that.

P4wn4ge Comics is the path to the future.

Watching both Pirates of the Carribean movies in a single day has left me going "yo-ho-ho" and craving for rhum.

ANYWAY. More prosage. Enjoy?

(( Meditations. Alistair x Hikaru, Thick as Thieves. ))

Am I the only one who thinks that a Superman/Batman movie with Christian Bale and the d00d who did Superman for Superman Returns would be extra hot?
X-posted to all the usual places.

One midterms test down. Two more to go. Finished one of the two papers also. And by some miracle, I passed my second long test. 65. Not bad, given the fact that I was expecting 50 or below. @_@

Did I mention that I just blew close to 7,000 bucks on books and comics in the last three days?

This one's slightly delayed, and because of PC problems the creation of the LJ for Citrus Avenue has been delayed also. [livejournal.com profile] ezraelandvari and I shall get to it sooner or later. In the meantime, here's Deja Entendu for your reading pleasure. Heads up, A x R fans. >D

(( Deja Entendu: Aidan Clayce & Rethe Kyriff in Eleven Ways ))

Now for a mini-survey: which Citrus project do you want to see first? Choose one, or two (or even three), but PLEASE don't say all. o_o;; Choices are as follows:
Strange & Beautiful - Maes x Nikolai
Black Market Music - Hiroshi x Hikaru (pre-Citrus)
Soviet Kitsch - Ires & Natalia
From the Choirgirl Hotel - Neeka x Emir
Untitled - Roman x Jilly
Auf Asche - Takeo x Ritsu
Serve Chilled - Mafuyu x Yue
A Love Affair - Sein x Beatrix
My Favorite Game - Hiroshi x Yukio
Untitled - Lorenzo x Naiara
Low Place Like Home - Alistair x Aidan / Aidan, Calintz & Rilea (pre-Citrus)
Demon Days - Alistair, Mikhail & Hikaru (post-Lullabies to Paralyze)

Of the ones mentioned, four have bits and pieces for them sitting on our PCs. We're working on other stuff, but I can't elaborate beyond that. Spoilers. ^-^

EDIT: I meticulously format everything only to find out that the story's too goddamned long for LJ. >___> Anyhow, it's in PDF. Thar we have it.
Hapee Birthevening to [livejournal.com profile] ravenel. More power to procrastination. Also, belated to [livejournal.com profile] magnetic_rose. Feels like I haven't seen you in forever again.

I have lost all feeling in my right wrist as a result of running a gauntlet of final exercises for Math 11 tomorrow and re-copying more notes in Lit Crit. The maternal unit saw me studying the moment she stepped into her room, and that made her happy. Whoo me.

Scored an A on the Soul Mountain paper. [livejournal.com profile] ezraelandvari asked me whether the grade was worth the 506-page read and I'm not quite sure how to answer that. Also did the Chinese Lit orals. Ma'am had me pick questions twice, as the first one I picked had to do with Soul Mountain; the second pick yielded the thesis statement I had wanted to discuss. Somebody up there loves me, and I can only hope that love will last up until Thursday. Heck, I hope it peaks by tomorrow. There's Math and Shakespeare tomorrow. :3

Ate out with [livejournal.com profile] makintash, [livejournal.com profile] fruitea and [livejournal.com profile] ezraelandvari at the Chocolate Kiss; it was a Fangirl Session like few others over a very good lunch, in which I dutifully indulged myself and splurged money on the food that the likes of the Ateneo de Manila cafeteria will never see. It's kind of sad how our tuition doesn't seem to include a decent selection to choose from over the school year. <_>

I am finally on the OST-Collectives-[livejournal.com profile] fst section of my playlist. @_@ Pudding case of music coming soon for all the people who wanted to borrow it. You may start queuing for it now, assuming that you've either got mp3s to trade back to me or that I promised you I'd fork it over once I had it.

To all those that wanted stuff burned: A lot of my back-up CDs for some of the anime I have in my collection don't want to burn well. I'll be posting an updated list of the things I have on my hard drive eventually, as I find it easier to rip stuff that's already sitting on my computer. Once I have the list, you guys can skim over it and see what you still want. I can also attempt to make a comprehensive list of the stuff I have in mp3s, but that's going to prove to be EXTREMELY difficult... best to just poke me with the name of a a game/series/show/movie/artist to see whether I have it.

[livejournal.com profile] omnicrescence: I want more comics!

[livejournal.com profile] khursten and [livejournal.com profile] miguel_zeruel: Worried about the both of you. Do drop a line if you guys are still relatively all right.

Who thinks I should change my layout for October?
cut for quiz! )

Felt oddly productive today... must be a reaction to consulting with Ma'am on past lessons (and actually getting it this time) and kicking ass in my report at Chinese Lit (even though the LCD projector had a short cable and the screen was small as a result). Helped [livejournal.com profile] ezraelandvari on her critique of what's supposed to be somebody's attempt at flash fiction for her Fiction class and revised my final paper in Chinese Lit while I was at it. @_@

One and a half more weeks to go. I just can't stop counting, can I? :3

He and I shall have to talk soon.

I knew I'd go off the deep end from the moment I got a hardbound copy of 1602.

So here we have it. Lucifer Volumes 1-3 and 5-8.

...

Anybody know where I can find Volumer 4? If you see it, please buy it, or at least reserve it, or something. I will reinburse you promptly. <_>
One last plug: Stitched Ophelia, formerly located here, has been moved to a swankier location at this point with much love and gratitude to [livejournal.com profile] khursten.
It will have an RSS feed soon, along with all the rest of the writing junk I will be churning out in the small pockets of air I've been given to breathe in between all the work for school.

This entry was long enough to merit LiveJournal cuts! o_o

on work. )

There may not be school on Monday for us blue eagles. Oh joy.
