...Her keyboard is bouncy. o_o

Divisoria mass exodus ended up being [livejournal.com profile] sortinghatlover's epic journey since the rest of us have got stuff to do back here (coupled with the fact that I'm probably useless in that ares @_@) before [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu and I hop over to Robinson's Galleria for the May 2007 meeting of Read or Die. I haven't actually seen the RoD Folk since the convention.

Nope, didn't sleep much. It's hot, it's noisy, and there was work to be done anyway. Twas all right though, since the events leading up to actually arriving at the house were priceless (INDUSTRIAL ADHESIVE!). Cram session Next sleepover for the LO ladies is over at the house, the night before the convention. Will probably take the day off work in order to attend to stuff since I probably won't get any sleep that night -- rest is good.

Apocalypse Please mocks me. =_= Can't figured out the damned structure. ...Or more like, I have the structure, but it's bloody hard to write it out.

...One more to go, slated for this Saturday with [livejournal.com profile] seranx on duty with me and the fate of Panzer Division hanging in the balance.

[/epic]

WoD campaign was nifty, as I indicated in my post over here earlier this afternoon. I'm still trying to poke my brother into being less lazy about forum checking -- the fact that his sister is one of the DMs shouldn't mean him being able to rely on me to tell him everything. -_-

I'm killing time as I spend another day a the Phil STAR. Encoded an interesting article about one of the candidates for Congress. Does anybody know more about Amado Bagatsing? I don't know whether to believe what the article said or pass it off as a PR trip.

The past few days are going to be pretty busy. There's Panzer's epic war with the dead baby god fetus thing and Litsoc is slated to have their Plansem at my house on May. Then Mom wants to drag me to the dentist. *shudders*

Mwee. Now to stick Rethe in the USB port here and check whether the revised version of Chapter Two is ready to submit for India & the Conundrum. @_@ [livejournal.com profile] team7 wants them in by today.

To think there's still so much for me to watch. It frustrates me how I finally have Battlestar Galatica in my hands but I can't seem to get more than 2 episodes in whenever I try to marathon.

Because I like pretty flashy interweb thingies~

I suddenly find myself chasing deadlines, self-imposed or otherwise. o_o

April 25: Encode all the backlogged campaign stuff for WoD. Module 1 has some edits done to it, and I cooked up a lot of shit for the second module and beyond while I was at the STAR the other day.
April 26: Campaign for the World of Darkness crowd. Make sure to have everything printed and (hopefully) a hard copy of the source book at hand, beyond the laptop.
April 27: Deadline for submissions to Issue #2 of India & the Conundrum. On my end, that means the revised version of Endtimes, Chapter 2.
April 28: Panzer Division Campaign. [livejournal.com profile] ultra_arvin, gimme your address! D:

I still haven't been able to get back to the work I started on the world and other important background information for Apocalypse Please... I have the first part of the history down, and I've edited and listed down all of the important locations -- I've even got their political systems down, and have taken note of important characters from their end. There are still drabbles in my notebook waiting to be transferred also. ._. *sadness*

Right now I'm sitting around at the office, killing time before my Dad and I hop down to the shooting range. The computer I'm using's on Ubuntu. *proud to be familiar and comfortable with the OS now*

I want to submit something for the upcoming issue of [livejournal.com profile] bb_shousetsu. The theme is May-December relationships. I have the perfect story in mind (*coughcoughALISTAIRHIKARUAPOCALYPSEPLEASEcoughcough*). Two problems:

A.) It has not been written yet. The world hasn't even been drawn up properly. Heck. All I have going for it are the title, the basic concept and a hell lot of pervy thoughts.
B.) The deadline for submission is April 20. Yes. April 20.

CAN I DO IT?! D: D: D: D:

Another option is to dig up some hot Alistair x Aidan smex. But then I have to make them happy. Wut. Yet ANOTHER option is Maes x Nikolai. ...Hmmmm.

...On another note, I've fussed over the other blog some more and the PC guy set up Alistair!Desktop to be ready for dual-OSing as soon as possible. Also, it is very, very hot. So hot, in fact, that out there somewhere the polar ice caps are melting and polar bears are actually drowning because of it.

*sadness*

Let me repeat that. It is very, very hot.
[shameless plug]

You read that right, ladies. Lights Out is back in black for a fourth round of rabid fangirlism and boysmex on May 26 this summer. Details on venue to follow~ in the meantime, hop over to the forum for updates and whatnot.

Please note that we're also looking into grabbing volunteers. :3

[/shameless plug]

So I spent the day God Moding with [livejournal.com profile] hamster_friend and glomping [livejournal.com profile] archangel_dream with a [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu and an Arvin-Who-Should-Really-Get-an-LJ-Already along Katipunan. And I still can't upload stuff to FF.net for some reason. @_@

Furthermore, since I'm on God Mode: Panzer Division, until further notice I am available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for character sheet fixing. Please poke me.

On another note, the National Book Development Board contacted me about that registration I did at their booth during Read or Die. o_o Surreal, yo.

On yet another note: to all those who have signed up to become slaves beta readers of the horrendously outdated but otherwise complete "final" version of Endtimes before this new revamp I'm working on, please remind me to send it all over to you.

LIVE, [livejournal.com profile] ze_junkheap! LIIIIIVVVVEEEE!!!!!

... *smack*

I have too many projects lined up for this year and beyond.
As my previous entry very colorfully reported, Alistair!PC came down with a very, VERY nasty case of a triple-powered Spyware/Adware/Trojan Virus flu because something happened to be floating around on Sendspace while I was downloading. Since it was high time that I upgraded Windows XP on this thing AND because I had originally intended to dual OS anyway, I decided to wipe the C drive clean and stuff Ubuntu on this computer. This was the beginning of a very interesting day for me. @_@

See, we don't actually have a Windows XP installer that isn't already licensed off to another PC around these parts, and it being Holy Week I won't be able to secure one until the techie comes over to take a look at this thing (and to boot up the dual OS for the win!). Add that to the fact that for some reason my C drive refused to let me manually partition it the way I wanted to, and you have Kae hopping around, staring at her screen in horror. I eventually decided to bite the bullet and just completely devote the main drive to Ubuntu... this'll mean re-installing Ubuntu when I need to put Windows XP back in here, but I consider it a small loss.

So. Back to Ubuntu. For about four hours yesterday I couldn't access my Windows partitions -- apparently I didn't have the right permissions to access the drives, and the Ubuntu book was speaking Egyptian Hieroglyphics Greek to me. With thanks to my Dad and [livejournal.com profile] y_u_r_i_k_o, I was able to hard code the permissions into the terminal file and view my files. Note: since the drives are formatted to NTFS and FAT32, I can't write to them, but at this moment that's not necessary.

With my files intact and the fate of my PC secure, I proceeded to twiddle around with Ubuntu. Now I can totally see why my cousin and my Dad are totally gaga over the system. @_@ In nearly every aspect, Ubuntu is the superior OS. The only "complaints" I have aren't really complaints, because with Aidan!Laptop around to fill in the gaps I have a perfectly functioning tandem down here. Now I'm just itching for Holy Week to end so that the dual OS can go up and I'll never have to worry about virus attacks again. :3

Another option is to do a mass back-up of all my files, wipe the drives clean, and stuff everything back in again. It's high time I back up anyway. ...What's stopping me is how much time that'll take and the fact that I dun have cash for DVD discs.

On other news...

Because of the PC woes, I missed out on my April 5 post for [livejournal.com profile] 31_days. T_T *crawls off to do [livejournal.com profile] citrus_avenue.

[livejournal.com profile] magnetic_rose, [livejournal.com profile] sortinghatlover and [livejournal.com profile] khursten: I know you guys don't dig her work, but in case you want to find something more recent to replace Death Note: The Last Name with on the film showing, the first OVA of Winter Cicada just came out, and it looked pretty decent to [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu and I in spite of the overall lack of action in it (DON'T GET US WRONG IT WAS STILL VERY GAY). We can also throw in the 25th episode Death Note anime BECAUSE IT IS TEH GH3I. L dies, for one. And before he dies they have their whole wet-tshirt-plus-drying-each-other-off scene there. @_@

Apparently a lot of households still practice the reciting of the pasyon down here. From the distance they're at relative to my house, it all sounds like a bunch of monks chanting up some sinister spell. No, no, seriously, it does! x_X

Now I need to go back to those LJ tags.

(( Go and answer this meme! ))

Random thoughts of the day, in somewhat chronological order:

  • The forums at AnimePaper are somewhat interesting now.
  • I officially hate [livejournal.com profile] archangel_dream's mother with a passion now. Psychology major gone wrong. She's apparently fine with her daughter hanging around child rapists and serial killers for so long as they're not homosexual.
  • Code of Honor, as a title for a yaoi fic. Wtf, yo.
  • *blah blah blah blah* "...Then he bumped into someone." <--is that supposed to be dramatic?
  • "The person lied unmoved." <--OMG MY EYES WHY DO I TORTURE MYSELF SO.
  • *stops reading*
  • Urahara Kisuke is teh hawtness.
  • Aidan has 829 MB left on his HD. I will have to start storing anime away soon. ;_;
  • Connection slow. End-of-the-month bandwidth cap, I think. Damn you, PLDT.
  • The title to the last installment of that hot FMA doujinshi by idea is Next Restraint. Kinky much? >3
  • L'arc~en~ciel remixes are trippy.
  • ...Digital Devil Saga. Books. Music. Writing. Bleach animation. Am torn. Thoroughly torn. ;_;
  • mIRC queuing. Oh, the agony.
  • NO COKE I WILL NOT MAKE FUNNY GURGLING SOUNDS FROM THE SUGAR HIGH NO NO NO YOU CAN'T MAKE ME DEMMIT.

Gone, folks. Just gone. More coming? Maybe.

Who wants to go to Sugarhouse tomorrow?
STEP ONE

Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. the wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("i'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("i wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). the important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

STEP TWO

Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.

You need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

wish list goes here. )

Suikoden III swallowed my brain again. I never realized how much I missed that game. o_o

But. I should be writing. Meh.
