STEP ONE
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. the wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("i'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("i wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). the important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.
You need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
All Kae-chan wants for the upcoming holiday season is:
1. Books from Chuck Palahniuk (except Non-Fiction, Lullaby and Invisible Monsters), or from Neil Gaiman (looking for American Gods, the Dream Hunters and any volume of the Sandman series except Death: The High Cost of Living and Endless Nights). Irvine Welsch too, or just about anybody interesting or any nice compilation of short stories and/or poems.
2. Shinsengumi Imon Peacemaker volumes 1, 2, 3, or 6. Also, Peacemaker Kurogane. Any volume. Or the English translated manga of Bleach.
3. The DVD box set for any of the following: Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, Sentou Yousei Yukikaze, Macross Zero, The L Word, Queer as Folk. For the anime: I don't care if it's pirated, for so long as the subs are good. :3
4. The Playstation 2 game Ring of Red. I have been looking for this for ages. @_@
5. Tori Amos CDs, particularly Boys for Pele and Under the Pink. I've already got Little Earthquakes and From the Choirgirl Hotel.
6. A box (or at least a whole shitload) of those Pentel-brand correction tape thingies, or a box full of V5 sign pens (black, purple, blue). I'm not kidding! o_o;;
7. The Superman/Batman compilation that features Supergirl in it. Or Batman: Hush. Or just about any Batman or JLA comic that's decent. I have the Dark Knight Returns already.
8. Any volume of Kabuki (except volume 3), or Hellboy, or Constantine Hellblazer, or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, or Nyx, or the Marvel Ultimates. I WOULD like the first volumes the most, of course. :3
9. Clothes and accessories. I'm good with anything as long as it doesn't make me look like I belong in a flower vase. o_O Would prefer leather or beaded accessories though. And more funky stuff. Take that definition for what you will.
10. Pudding cases of CD-Rs. No, this never gets old for me. @_@
Suikoden III swallowed my brain again. I never realized how much I missed that game. o_o

I appreciate more the Hello Kitty products my Great Aunt gives me than the Maybelline (make-up and nail polish!!) set. It's like she doesn't know if I'm a ten-year-old or a twenty. XP
