Facebook is bad luck: my Internet died on me when I tried to check it earlier, and the connection has been wonky ever since. B|

Right~ should've updated yesterday (Customary Work Post!), but I got lazy. It was a pretty slow day at the office, though... the only real interesting thing I did was go around the South Triangle area and help my little brother take pictures of landmarks. Our brother Pio wants us to take an inventory of all the good places. "Lifestyle pictures", he calls them. It's a good way of advertising to our clients.

Lunch ended up becoming a meeting for the shareholders in the company (my Dad, and the aunts and uncles working with us + Pio), so Peter and I headed down as soon as we were able. Listening to them talk about wage hikes and company funds and stuff was another reminder on how hard it is to be good in this country. Renewed my hatred for ignorant rallyists all the more too. *pif*

Enough of that though. I GOT MY MONEYZ FROM THE BANK FOR THE LAST TWO MONTHS OF WORK. AND I DOWNLOADED LOTS BECAUSE I BROUGHT THE EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE OVER TO LEECH THE BANDWIDTH AND I SUCCEEDED.

Pio played funky music through the day at work -- I only caught some bits and pieces of his playlist, though, since I tend to plug into my earphones when I'm doing my thing. Not too many updates went up for the actual webbie, but I DID get to upload a lot of stuff and start that online archive that I've been meaning to prepare to host the company's critical files. There will be a lot more to look at when I go back to work on Tuesday.

Hurhur. Wrist seems to be good for the most part, so I finally got off my bum and registered at the Rizon web client thing and rejoined the chatroom at #oofuri last night. ♥ I'll have to take it slow though, with the typing and the carrying. I still get these numb bouts and stuff. Makes me wonder if I should go back to the doctor and double check. Maybe get a scan or two also.

...If the wrist wasn't enough of a problem, there's this summer heat too. It's not good for the skin, or for the lips. =_= Been surviving with lip balm for nearly two months now, and it STILL dries up so easily.

Slept relatively early last night, and did Ateneo grad studies stuff in the morning. Ran into a friend on campus, chatted for a bit and generally enjoyed myself. I have to go back on Monday for the last recommendation letter; I'll be able to submit my application by then, if I'm lucky. Front desk people in the grad studies office are lousy though. >_> Srsly, there's no need to be bitchy or act so condescending, man. I mean, fuck, for all you and I know, I could be paying their damned bills by enrolling.

/off rant

Not doing much of anything at the moment... I just took a break from marathoning the first four episodes of Haibane Renmei, and now I think I'll try and get some writing done. I want to see if I can summarize all of Endtimes -- and I mean, ALL OF ENDTIMES, main story and prequels and sequels and extras and all -- over the summer. I want to make that my big project for the moment.

INTERNET PLZ TO BE BETTER KTHNXBAI. I HAS TORRENTS, YO.

On other news, I am currently reading Norwegian Wood whenever I'm not on the computer. I realize that I might be a Reiko.

You can take that as you will.
I've been trying to go to sleep early since this weekend, and I've kinda-sorta succeeded at it... today was annoying though, because my brother (the crazy one, who else?) got up sometime during the whee hours of the morning to pace-pace-pace-rap-the-walls-pace-pace-pace-rap-the-walls just outside the corridor of the room I've been sleeping in ever since the summer heat came around. -_- Spent most of the morning feeling ill, but I recovered in the end anyway.

The Internet connection in the office was, for the first time since I've started working there, incredibly shitty. As in, it was at the "I barely got to get any work done" level of shitty. I managed to do SOME things whenever it stabilized, but I gave up sometime after lunch and settled for doing my personal essay for Ateneo (they require one of people applying for grad studies there, lolol) and buggering [livejournal.com profile] khursten.

WHICH LEADS ME TO MY NEXT QUESTION!

Take note of Luzon (that's the northern island; the one with Manila in it), folks, and tell me: If you were to take a flying fortress that's roughly the size of Pampanga (or maybe Bulacan, but Bulacan is significantly bigger) and crash land it, where in Luzon should it land? This is relevant to Endtimes interests.

Oh, another jewel from [livejournal.com profile] khursten: I'M ON A FUCKING WIKI. I AM MILDLY AMUSED AND SOMEWHAT HORRIFIED BY THIS. Run a search for yourselves on that site, flist ficcers, and see if they've pooped out an article for you. D:

Speaking of anime/manga stuff... wtf is with anime this quarter? EVERYTHING IS SO BLOODY SHINY. L-like, Macross Frontier and Soul Eater and-- guh. Just guh. TOO MUCH PRETTY.

Righto. Will kick back and save icons and do the downloads I wasn't able to do. I can't believe my connection is stable here. o_O Or maybe I'm speaking too soon. I'll have to go out tomorrow for more grad studies stuff. Can you believe that Ateneo pings their applicants P555 for what's basically an IQ test?

...And a final reminder for my children:

World of Darkness folk, the campaign is TOMORROW @ MY HOUSE. Be here by 11 AM at the LATEST, please!

THERE WAS AN EVIL BLACKOUT AND IT MADE ME GO TO THE OFFICE AND THERE WAS NO POWER THERE FOR A WHILE EITHER BUT IT WORKED OUT.

Capslock spazzing mostly because I gots paid for a day I wasn't even supposed to have. ♥ Got lots done though, so I suppose it's a fair trade-off. Everyone suddenly seems so interested in putting the website up. o_o

Spent some time geeking out with [livejournal.com profile] khursten over this function I accidentally discovered in y!m (I CAN HAS CURVY PRETTY QUOTATION MARK THINGIES THAR!), but then she went off for a loooong lunch and I spent the rest of my day tripping over some of the songs on my playlist and doing more web stuff. I tripped on the following tracks several ways to Sunday:

  • Pink - I'm Not Dead
  • Fall Out Boy - The Take Over, the Break's Over
  • 30 Seconds to Mars - The Kill
  • Ane Brun feat. Wendy McNeil - Such a Common Bird
  • The Servant - Orchestra
  • The Tea Party - Turn the Lamp Down Low
  • A Perfect Circle - Weak and Powerless [the Underworld mix]

Note to self: make a music post for great leeching goodness sometime.

Oh, some of you will be amused to learn that Peter has a stalker. Like, one of our old clients keeps bringing her bug-eyed, fairly chubby, ugly granddaughter over to the office, and she keeps staring at Peter since he's working at the front desk. I ended up playing buffer and shield to him today because the girl apparently tried to talk to him.

Everyone at the office got a good laugh from it. Pio calls it "The Axe Effect". That commercial was accurate after all. *fufufu*

Went home to find the electricity back and my Dad bouncing along to some of the songs -- I gave him some music this weekend, and it apparently spurred him into downloading more. I told him about Peter's stalker. He laughed. A lot. Especially when my mom (and she said this in all seriousness) said that the girl appears to be mentally challenged. Now he keeps going on about how the girl's acting on "sheer instinct" like "a Black Widow spider!"

I'm supposed to have a meme up here ([livejournal.com profile] ficcintricity hit me with it), but I'm laaazy. B|

Last night was generally okay, save for me receiving some rather unpleasant news about an issue that's been brewing for quite some time on my end. I logged off later than I should have, and slept much later than I should have because my little brother and I ended up staying up, with me ranting and him listening talking until late. I'm still seething, but this isn't the place to talk about it.

Made a crap load of updates for the office webbie -- I'm very happy that things are picking up, and all the people with stuff are sending over their parts. Peter's presence helps a lot too: he's manning the front desk while we wait for someone to apply in his place, so he's basically everyone's universal errand boy, most especially mine. XD

Also, Peter, Pio and I had another lesson in Family Office Culture 101: if dad is not around, lunch from home will automatically suck because our cook doesn't feel the need to give us anything special. *wibble*

Best part of the day was getting my check for the days I put in between January and February. I'll prolly cash it in on Tuesday~ ♥

Wrist is normalizing for realz, I think, but I'll rest it some more for this week. Been volatile lately too -- my period's over, so I guess this is a different sort of PMS? Post-Menstrual Syndrome, maybe?

Still, hormones can only go so far. Something tells me that I know exactly who and what to blame, but really: the Internet has its fair share of wtfassery and whining. I won't do it here. Now I am seriously looking forward to Saturday... a good campaign is sure to set things right, if only for the moment. Maybe I'll sneak in a cig or two somewhere also, just to cap it all off nicely.

One thing's for sure, though: my older brother going through another MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEME phase certainly doesn't help my moods.

RANDOMLY: I can't log on to #oofuri. My Java client's fucked up. Now I have to find another one so that I can bug people there again. ._.
Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] kitsune_jade, I couldn't resist.

Until today, I was unaware of the fact that trolls on the Internet could ever get famous. THEN I found out about crawfordjeremy702000.

See this? He has an LJ community devoted to his attacks. Imagine: a fucking LJ community. How many people actually get something like that? o_O

I took the passage below from the comm's description.

The internet is full of many trolls, it's true, but few of them are quite as incomprehensibly bizarre as jeremycrawfordj2000. You might say that this community will only encourage him, but--believe me--he does just fine without any encouragement at all.

This community is here for the next zillion people who do a google blogsearch wondering who the !@#$%#^$@!$%! he is. Feel free to post amusing transcripts of him losing it at you, femslash of any characters he doesn't find hot, and Martha Kent/anyone who's NOT "a younger man".

Anyway, this guy. He apparently stalks fanfic writers online and bugs them to do fanfics for his pairings/fandoms. If they say no, he leaves them with messages like "Ok then WELL FUCK YOU LYING BITCH" or "GO TO HELL" and other endearing missives.

This actually makes me glad that I don't deal with idiots this bad. @_@

Anyway, life stuff. Did more webpage thingies at The Office. Second day of the bleeds, though, so I felt ill for about two hours after lunch. Still under the weather -- lying down for about 30 minutes after I got home helped, but tired is tired. Will probably sleep early tonight. Like, VERY early.

Oh. The laptop also had some sort of mini-breakdown after lunch. Like, I opened up a PDF file and the whole thing just froze. Had to restart twice because I got stuck on the blue "Windows is starting up..." screen the first time around. Thing seems to be running fine now, although the incident was like a kick in the gut. u_u Pammeth needs a new Alistair!PC and must reformat Aidan!Laptop, like, nao.

Quote of the day, courtesy of my brother Pio: "So apparently, when you get married, gaining 10 pounds after is part of the package."

DAILY POSTS ARE DAILY! :D :D :D
Before all else: GO HERE FOR #OOFURI VICTOLY IF IT CONCERNS YOU. :D :D :D [livejournal.com profile] explodinguterus and [livejournal.com profile] rainy_takako, YOU GUYS WERE AWESOME.

Semi-slow day at work this time around -- it turns out that I pretty much cleared out all the backlog from the past two months that I was absent (read this post for the menial details), so by 4 PM, I was lollygagging on #oofuri and attempting to get getting some plot stuff done for ET. Was lucky enough to snag an early ride home with my mom and my grandmother, who ended up in the office due to pest control and scheduling problems. o_o

I made my Dad lol earlier though:

Me: Do you know what I call Tuesdays and Thursdays now?
Him: o_o?
Me: 500-PESO DAYS! BECAUSE I GET PAID!
Him: ... XD

Will be chillaxing at home again tomorrow; my wrist seems a lot better than it was yesterday (apparently, it's an on-and-off thing for the moment), so maybe I'll get some writing done? Will take breaks to watch animu in between, just to make sure it STAYS fine this time. And maybe I'll take some advice from [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu and smack a warm compress on this thing.

On the fandom side of things, I have:

  1. Prepared my HD for the Spring Animu Deluge. It'll start with MACROSS FRONTIER, which is apparently coming out tomorrow. u_u
  2. Caught up with Bleach by speed-reading and basically glazing over most of the dialogue and nearly all of the ridiculously long battle scenes. ...I cannot take the Vaizards seriously, even if they were former shinigami. THEY JUST LOOK SO WEIRD IN THOSE CLOTHES.
  3. Resuscitated my rabu-rabu for D.Grayman. It still makes me squick at some points (BECAUSE IT IS GOTHIC DBZ WITH PRETTIER CHARACTERS AND A NICER PREMISE), but the love. It is there again. IS IT BECAUSE KANDA IS GROWING A PERSONALITY NAO? OR MAYBE IT'S CROSS' HAIR. LENALEE, PERHAPS?
  4. Exhausted all current 07 Ghost and Kekkaishi chapters. *shakes their respective authors* I WANT MOAR.
  5. Watched the commercial for the second season of XXXHOLiC. It still looks... HOLiC-y.
  6. Started reading Amatsuki. UR RITE, [livejournal.com profile] paperonigiri, IT IS VERY INTERESTING.
  7. Killed myself with Chi's Sweet Home cuteness. How many episodes will this have? Does anyone know? @_@
  8. Felt my Gaydar blip like there was a mothefucking tsunami on my HD when I caught the first ep of Bus Gamer. ...I'm a little disappointed, but [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel is right: there will only be 3 eps. It can't get that bad. Can it?
  9. Finished Spice & Wolf. ...I'm glad it ended well. THE OPENING SONG, IT ALWAYS MADE ME SAD AND FEAR FOR THE WORST.
  10. Caught up (a little) with Ghost Hound. There is some weird shit going on in there. o_o

[livejournal.com profile] yukitsu, our project for this weekend is DVD burning, plottage, possible cakeeating-age, and snapping photos of my house. IS DAT COOL WITH YOU COZ IT'S COOL WITH ME! :D

EDIT: THIS is relevant to ADMU Lit Major interests, whether you're former or current. ._. Looks like we're saying goodbye to a master.
W00T.

IT IS A TUESDAY AND I AM POSTING!

BREAKING WEIRD ENTRY TREND = SUCCESSFUL!

*is shot*

Busy, busy day at the office -- that's not too surprising, though, given the fact that I haven't BEEN to the office in, like, two months. ~_~ Uploaded a bucket load of stuff (the Sales & Marketing page is in full swing, 'cept for the individual project sites), and I still have stuff to do when I go back on Thursday.

Peter is working as our front desk boy for this month and maybe longer. I'm glad he's there~ he's doing all the stuff that the old front desk lady never did for me. *coughs* NOW I HAVE SOMEONE TO ORDER AROUND FOR WEBBIE THINGS. I guess that's one of the perks of working in a family business -- being surrounded by, well, family.

THE GOAL: Don't miss a day of work this month. THE REWARD: 4,000 pesos (that's roughly 95 US dollars, I think). Measly, I know, but I could also be unemployed and not earning anything.

Half of me wants to relax tomorrow, but it turns out that mom wants me to do a second round with the doctors (endocrinologist and gynecologist this time); I also need to go to ADMU and ask for my transcript of records. And maybe drop off some recommendation letters with professors. So difficult, real life wa.

On other news, my house's fucked up electric grid has finally defeated my UPS; I spent a good fifteen minutes rewiring everything to a voltage regulator that'll take care of my gadgets until I find the time to buy a new one. AND THE HEAT. IT KILLS MY BRAIN STILL.

March 1-27 was my self-imposed Break Tiem from the world, but now that it's over, it was straight on to dealing with RL things. :o

Went to Capitol Med bright and early in the morning to do an ultrasound on my stomach area. Organs look clear, so I guess my stomach problems really AREN'T related to gall stones. That's a good thing: I wasn't exactly looking forward to another operation. I mean, I, uh, kinda just had one last year. @_@

Mom and I lingered for a bit after doing the first half of the ultrasound because she wanted them to take a look at my pelvic area and that required me eating breakfast (FINALLY) AND taking in a shitload of water. We ate breakfast at Figaro, and talked about random, mother-daughter things. Second ultrasound thingie's results will be out tomorrow.

Swung by Ateneo while Mom went to check something at Miriam -- can you believe that they ping you one-hundred bucks for a measly application form? ~_~ Anyway, we got home in time for lunch and then hit the road again after poking [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel for a quick convo and taking a look at DGM because I'm a masochist because I've been catching up with manga series since yesterday afternoon. I already cleared through XXXHOLiC (DOUMEKI/WATANUKI 4EVAH), Kekkaishi (fucking cool shit, man) and Vampire Knight (...I am so looking forward to the anime) already; I am yet to look through Bleach (because I really AM a masochist), 07 Ghost and others.

Paolo moved out with us on the second trip; he attended to ADMU things while Mom and I went to the Philippine Heart Center so that I could drop in on the PT department and see what was up with my wrist. Doc says it's not Carpal, which is good. I prolly strained it. After that, the three of use went to UP and got royally lost several times over picked up application forms for our respective fields of interest.

SEGUE: Honestly, I don't want to end up on the same campus as any of my brothers, especially Paolo. And especially if it's Ateneo. I won't say why here. I think it's a given, if you know me and my history with my brother well enough.

My brother's attitude problem kicked in later, when we went back to Katipunan to check up on tutorial centers since he and my mom want review classes for upcoming examinations on their end. I regained my Zen by reading Reader's Digest. I miss that publication. Funny too, because this month's issue had an entry on RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury), which might be what my wrists have. o_o

...So yeah, lots done today. The only thing I missed out on was checking up on driving lessons, since it's high time that I learn to move around in a car.

On another note, I am going back to the office tomorrow. WORK, ONOZ.
