I tagged along with
yukitsu to the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Philippine PEN Foundation~ the driver had to get some teeth pulled out, so I commuted from my house all the way to Manila. ROAD TRIP FTW!
Since we got to the place at lunch time, we only managed to attend one talk. Ma'am Hidalgo was my favorite one on the panel, I think... to be honest, it's a bit hard for me to swallow talks revolving around literature and nationhood. Yes, it's a valid issue and all and yes I know that there's something wrong with the system, but I'd rather hear about
how to instill these changes. It would also be nice if writers actually bothered to put an ear towards the youth, yeah?
Talking about the problem and making a checklist of "shoulds" and "should nots" is one thing. Actually DOING rather than dictating is quite another, I think.
'Kay. Bookworm mode ends there.
Slept REALLY late because of
Odin Sphere (
note this post), and woke up at 10:30. Lolled about for a while before the parentals dragged us kids out of the house for the customary annual clan reunion at the Good Shepherd Convent (where I proceeded to talk about life, college, high school and Persona 3 with my cousins). Will be attending Mass in a bit, so I'm going through BL manga. Again.
In spite of my frigging faulty internet connection, MY 53 GB HENTAI DOWNLOAD IS NEARLY DONE, YAY.
I can't believe it's already December.
khursten,
psychoshoujo,
yukitsu: we're still on for Avenue Q, right?
