Twin sister put it quite well, actually. It's that time of the year again, where the weather's balmy and you're expecting storms but none of them come through the sky. Physically speaking, nothing is wrong. Technically speaking, nothing is wrong. But things just move so slowly and you get irritated a little easier each time and all of a sudden class just doesn't grab you and not even the realization that you can't afford to keep cutting like this will save your ass.

It will pass, though. It always does, no matter how badly it gets. Hence, no reason to throw one's self off the cliff, unless you worship stupidity. If you worship stupidity, that's when things start to look a little sad for you. o_o

Anyhow. People have been getting themselves in trouble lately. I define trouble loosely. The only thing I ask for is that all of you have to promise me that you'll take care of yourselves, and never forget to reel me in whenever I cast out too far. I've got a habit for overshooting.

Rallies are only good if they're not half-assed. I do not call a 30,000-man gathering a rally. I call that a street party that does nothing but cause traffic on all ends and still forces us students to go to school. As for why Ateneans don't rally, I don't think we're in any position to waste the insane amount of tuition our parents pay for us to stay in school on walking out to starve on the streets under the blaring heat for a day and listen to blaring chants and politicians try to bribe you off.

Jocks who aren't even in their universities shouldn't keep harping about the basketball game, because that's all it is. A game. No, I'm not bitter. I'm just amazed at how some of us can afford to worship stupidity. I'm also sick and tired of reading a certain someone's status messages.

I am for activisim. I believe that it is the responsibility of the citizens of the country to criticize the institutions around and call for change if such a change is needed. But you won't see me on the streets chanting for our president to resign simply because I don't believe that she should - for several reasons that I'm not going to write down, should you to hear my 2 cents just come to me and ask it.

But if I believed in the cause - I would be out on the streets. This I assure you.

(btw, ateneo's tuition is cheap if you compare it to the price of tuition in the universities of many other countries.)

Me thinks Ateneo got smart with regards to the number of freshmen. The 300+ increase might be accounted for by the tuition fee increase. To keep the increase to a minimum, they have to accept more freshies. You also have to factor in the huge number of casualties every year.
