An external hard drive from Iomega with 120 gigs of space to offer, or an internal DVD writer?

Unless you have a lot of DVD-burning in mind that wouldn't be compensated by your existing writer, go for the HD.

external hdd. :B it's more convenient, just stick everything in the hdd than burn individual dvds.

Erm. Probably depends on how much you plan on sticking into that hard drive. If there's a big chance that it'll be filled up in no time at all, then the DVD writer's the better choice.

XD But you know what the problem is with computer components? You buy a brand-new replacement, sure that it's the newest and most advanced model on the market, and barely a month later you find out that someone somewhere has released an even more advanced model.

True, but I've never been one to really chase technology in as much as I can. It just gets frustrating if you try to stick with the trends. That, and costly. x_X

:D That's why we upgrade our computers only once every 5-6 years.
