The one thing writers should never do.

I don't care whether she's hot shit or not. Point of the matter is that she's apparently a lazy-ass for not even attemping to go through all the right channels on getting your stuff out on the market.

She should speak to a certain group of sophomore Creative Writing majors that I've caught wind of on Ateneo. They seem to think that they're so great too.

On lighter news, a number of the girls down here slept over the other night. No one entry can describe the horror that transpired. XD

I can't tell when her ad ends and when the comments start. =P

If I were JK Rowling or some Bigwig, I'd crush her like a bug with no mercy.

Wow, that's just so wrong. And she's endangering the whole fanfic community. How stupid is that?!

It's not just some attention whoring going on, right?

You know what's truly, truly, truly sad?

Her writing, what I could stomach of it, anyway, is on the dank side of mediocre. On top of being an oh-so-blatant example of intellectual property theft.

I don't write fan fic, but I appreciate it. Anne Rice and those authors who say it's wrong earn little more than a shrug from me. I am more in keeping with the writers who champion it as an excellent means of developing one's writing skills. But... BLEH. Reading that left a bad taste in my mouth.

lol she got free advice from a lawyer and just disregarded the legal implications, and trying to be gung-ho and high-and-mighty about it.

hahaha i can't wait until this is over and get to say: "how the mighty have fallen."

No, you won't. To both. What do you think you can do to 'the lawyers'? Normally when fans have problems with TPTB lawyers who are also in fandom offer to help out and assist them. I doubt very much anyone will in your case. I certainly won't.

lol owned.

What really annoyed me was how she acted all big and pig headed when someone tried to warn her that she might (well, actually, WILL) be sued if the right people (or wrong, in her case) were to find out about her little thing.

Oh, and the overpricing got to my nerves too. x__X *cheapskate!cheapskate!*

Makes you wonder if it's all to promoting than selling. o_O;

P.S.
My respect to the one who warned her first. She didn't lose it even when the other party went all ding-ding. >3 (don't ask me what that means. Haha)

hey, she took the post down. :P

"Yeah, I've taken it down. I didn't read all of the comments (too many for me, and most of them were repeating what other people said), but the ones I did read brought up some very good points. What made my decision for me was when somebody said that they would go after the popular writers first--which, now I think about it, is exactly right. My thanks to whoever it was that said that--I don't remember your name, because I was too busy feeling stupid to remember, and more thanks to anyone who expressed concern for what I was doing. Don't worry; I'm not going to be this stupid again! I would say I'd learned my lesson...but everyone said things I already knew but couldn't be bothered to think about. I think I'm quite done with this now. There's nothing else that can be said, except to extend a heart-felt apology to the people I wasn't thinking about and to hope that--one day--you might be able to forgive me. If not...well, life moves on. I won't beg forgiveness, but please accept my apologies and put this stupidity of mine behind you."
