Part Two of the Coron Trip! Entry is image heavy but I swear the pics are properly sized now~~~

Go here for Part One!

Day Two (May 30)

Breakfast was a pretty horrible occasion, if only because the service here is pretty terrible. Then we were shipped off to Mass, which felt more like one of those charismatic group talkshows rather than the 'solemn' celebration that it's meant to be. It's either because of the priest's voice (he had that radio DJ quality to it), or the fact that they played weird meditative music doing "special" moments. Wasn't able to take a picture of the Many Shades of Bored on my cousins' faces. Dad was on the prowl.

Island-hopping tour! We went to five different destinations, and apparently, the tour we took is one of those nifty eco-tours that help the local community. I've got a flyer with info for the interested~

Oh, uh. Apologies for some of the pictures - some of them aren't too great. OTL

Cayanan Island

The lake on this island is really pretty, but a bit of a bitch to get to...

Okay, no. It's SERIOUSLY a bitch to get to. They SAID it was JUST 50 meters away. What they DIDN'T say is that it's 50 meter's waaaay up and then waaay down. Would've taken a picture of the path itself, if I hadn't been too busy trying not to fall and kill myself. XD

The water's great, though.

Ridiculously deep, as well. Can't exactly go without a life jacket unless you're confident (or not dead tired from the trek getting to the actual place).

Picnic Area (whose name I've forgotten)

Picnic area would've been nice, but we were beside this really fucking noisy group of dudes that kept singing in bad, obnoxiously accented voices - looked like typical jejemon jocks, from what I could tell. Yes, I sound elitist and I am not sorry. >8|

Oh yeah. Here are some random pictures of the view from the shoreline, or from the boat.

The food, though...

Liempo, rice, seaweed = WIN. P-please forgive the fact that I was too hungry to remember to take pictures BEFORE eating...

We also had crab, which was delicious!

There is something pretty satisfying about ripping a crab open, breaking shells with your teeth and picking out the meat. |D

CYC Beach

CYC Beach was a welcome change after the picnic area house. Quiet, isolated, full of fiash! It's a little cove area with mangrove trees - good place for practice diving, since it's shallow, and it has decenter dips into deeper water with TONS of coral beds. The mix is also unique, and there are thermal climbs since you're actually swimming in brackish water, not pure seawater.

Twin Lagoons

Twin Lagoons was really nifty - it's a pair of coves that bleed into each other through a small opening. The water was so deep that it was scary, but the marine life was so lovely.

With every new beach trip, I feel the urge to join my dad on his scuba trips. It's such an expensive hobby, though!

This, by the way, is my dad, with my younger brother Peter. That's Tito Roly in the background~

Twin Peaks

This last stop was a beautiful snorkeling spot, but the current was just too strong for comfort. There were lots of tiny (and annoying) jellyfish too!

I also apparently didn't have a chance to take any pictures of the area. OTL

We went back to the hotel for bit before we headed out to dinner at the Coron Lodge. The resto-bar had a nice feel to it, and the food was cheap (P1620 TOTAL FOR 10 PEOPLE WTF) and pretty good (sisig, fuck yes!).

The owner had all of this stuff from all over the world, as you can see from the shelves. There were nifty statues too, and photographs, and paintings, and a whole lot of other stuff on the wall~

This chandelier intrigued me!

Played Last Night on Earth (THE ZOMBIE BOARD GAME) with the cousins before bed. The last session was intense.

And here's the last part! ♥

W-wow. I've never seen water that shade of blue before... it's so pretty... And the scenery is just. Beautiful.

Your holiday sounds amazing~ I'm glad that you had such a great time.

Oh yeah, it was incredible. I'm actually more of a mountain person than I am a beach person, but this was seriously something else!

Whoa. Those waters look really blue. And pristine, I hope? Very pretty~

EXTREMELY PRISTINE. It only gets "dirty" near port, and their dirty is nowhere near Manila Bay dirty. XD

What amazing beaches!!! I totally envy you!

http://i48.tinypic.com/x3sjk6.jpg --> LOL. This is what I get for reading posts backwards. So the one I asked were seaweeds? :O

The water is so blue and clear. *_______* Was it cold or hot? :O

http://i49.tinypic.com/e00pjm.jpg --> Matryoshka dolls! I love them! I have two and I'd want to collect more but they tend to be expensive. Mine are just cheap imitations from HK.

The water actually varied depending on where you were! It was never unpleasant, though~ ♥

you guys went to the same places i went to o__o diff hotels, however. did you guys go to the underwater cave thing? when we got there we could still see the cave, but then the tide rolled in and covered the entrance so they forced me to hold on to my uncle while he pulled me under the water, nevermind the fact that i couldn't swim, lmao

agreed on the waters in cayanan island being deep; i stayed on the shallow parts and chased shrimp on the corals. then i held on to my uncle as he swam around for me. :T /donya!!!
