Before all else:
My prayers and condolences go out to B and her family.
So, as planned, I had the Koushien - that is,
khursten,
yukitsu,
kye_kestrel,
77ws and
ficcentricity with
lonelybusiness and
synatri with us in spirit - sleep over for the weekend! They'll probably have pictures, so I'll have to tide over with fail!narrative.
Khursten, Yukeh and Lyn were the first to arrive just a little before lunch yesterday - they came while I was in the middle of installing drivers and programs on the new Aidan (my old laptop has been renamed Yasamu, because he is old and grumpy but extremely effective!), and we rolled around a little while waiting for the rest. The staple activity beyond the marathoning (No Reservations is such an interesting show, and it has been ages since I saw an episode of Ranma~), spazzing, talking, geeking out over Firefox plugins (Kat's a trufax expert on those) and transferring files was going through the last few chapters of Devil Summoner, so that we can all finally get to the second game!
We DID finish the thing, after a whole lot of grinding and Macross-esque boss fights (wtf, Taisho-era SDF-1!). Oh, and everyone made onigiri, spam musubi and takoyaki! *A*
...Yeah, I seriously suck at being elaborate with this sort of thing. ANYWAY THE WEEKEND WAS VERY DELISHUS AND RELAXING!
School will be rolling in next week, so I'll be preparing my class syllabi and running around to register for my classes. Even with the occasional (and serious) downs, it's been a really, really good summer.
Now I need to figure out how I'm going to balance all this school stuff with my online things.
