Things did not go entirely as planned today~ woke up later than I should have, so I left the house later than I should have. The SSS office on Q.C. Avenue wasn't that crowded (yet), but Jovy and I got shunted off by this lady at the information counter who insisted that I needed my original birth certificate. I went home to get it, but by the time I got back, the lines have grown exponentially. @_@ It was a good thing Jovy knew about this other, smaller SSS branch that didn't have nearly as many customers.
SEGUE: Jovy gave me the dirt on one of the new maids that works here while we were waiting around. Her behavior's always been suspicious (i.e. she has this really weird fondness for hiding away my stuff in the oddest places, and she pesters the other maids a lot about the schedules of me and the rest of my family), but I didn't think it was too bad. ...And then Jovy tells me that the other maids have apparently caught her using Peter's computer and going through my bookshelf, reading my stuff. Suffice to say, I am Not Pleased.
Went home after filling out the forms, ate lunch, and then zipped over to Ateneo to drop everything off: Ate Josie (that's the nice lady who basically runs the English Department for everyone) was really happy that I managed to get my forms fixed early, since delayed forms = delayed pay. I metMiss Mary -- she was nice enough to lend me this "textbook" for English 11, which will be one of the courses that I am definitely teaching this semester. Top that off with the fact that
pyrosinferno gave me the syllabus and a lot of tips, and I may be good to go for the moment. I feel loved. ._.
A lot of people have been asking me, but I haven't been able to give a straight answer until now. Being idle for most of the day gave me the opportunity to think about it though, so here's the list~
( Pammeth no Birthday Wishlist. )
I was supposed to go shopping for The Clothes with mom, but she's got a dinner with a family friend later tonight and I don't want to tire her out -- if we don't end up going, I guess I'll just poke some of the stuff I've managed to download this week, burn DVD archives (that includes your updates,
yukitsu!) and study the course material that I'll be teaching.
