...Uh. Basically, my weekend was swallowed up by that doujin project that Kimmy offered to me, BUT IT IS DONE NOW. I CAN GO BACK TO doing nothing productive whatsoever ALL THAT OTHER STUFF I MEANT TO DO BEFOREHAND. D8
Is anybody willing to read the script for me? I need feedback~
orz I'm supposed to have more music on this post for
dreamlessness, but my connection is being bitchy. T_T Please content yourself with these ones first, folks.
Special Mix: Sadface Songs - The Polite Version (SET ONE)
Angsty and depressing downer pieces to lose yourself in. Link to the first set of the Rude Version of this mix will follow as soon as I put it up.
Biffy Clyro - Machines
'Cause I've started falling apart / I'm not savoring life / I've forgotten how good it could be to feel alive
I know this song sounds more sentimental than it does depressing, but if you combine the sound with the lyrics, I think it fits. Biffy Clyro's a band that's pretty damned good at this sort of ambivalence... if you're a fan of Lighthouse, I highly suggest that you check these guys out.
Chris Black - Never Mind the Snow
Couldn't find reliable lyrics, sorry. @_@
I classify this song as "That Sort of Stuff that Plays During a Death Scene". Nuff said.
Craig Armstrong - Morning Breaks
Craig Armstrong is one of my gurus when it comes to instrumentals. If I'm getting my figures right, this piece was used in Romeo & Juliet. You know, the one with Clair Danes and Leonardo di Caprio. ...An awesome soundtrack, if I do say so myself.
Crooked Fingers - A Little Bleeding
A little bleeding / A sinking feeling / The victim I would never know
Crooked Fingers is another band that does quiet/creepy/hopeless/sad really, really well without actually SOUNDING like it unless you listen carefully. They remind me of the Flaming Lips at some points.
David Gray - Disappearing World
Night falling on the city / Quite something to behold / Don’t it just look so pretty / This disappearing world
I think some of you guys will recognize this song the moment it starts playing - I think it was used either for House MD or for Smallville. Anyway, TV stuff aside, this is a really excellent piece. The vocals, the guitar and the piano balance out marvelously.
The Righteous Shall Destroy the Precious
Sorry, I can't find any reliable lyrics online. @_@
Take a mild voice, gut guitar work and lovely lyrics. If you like that combo, download this one.

Haha, no, seriously. I'm kind of starting to look forwards to the music posts you make. And a D18 doujin?
