I've already started compiling the playlists and mixes that I will be posting, given the feedback that I've gotten from you guys. In order to prove that I've been working on it, here's the first set of links! :3


Love Songs Mix: The Last Love Song on Earth (SET ONE)
Here are love songs for pairs/relationships with epic UST, angst & overall, just lots of issues. o_o

30 Seconds to Mars - The Kill
Come break me down / Bury me, bury me / I am finished with you

I know 30 Seconds to Mars is best known for their rockish tracks, but I have to say that they're pretty much great in every aspect, from the guitar rifts to the lyrics to... well, just everything, really. This is one of their hardest-hitting songs, IMHO, and if you had to pick just one song in this set to download, I'd definitely make it this one.


65daysofstatic - Await Rescue

Don't be discouraged by the fact that 65daysofstatic is a band specializing in instrumentals, much like Mogwai: their stuff is fucking amazing. They are one of the only bands where I've downloaded the whole discography and can say, with complete confidence, that every single track is worth listening to. This particular one feels like a background theme straight out of a movie or series, where emotions and high and things are doing nothing but fall apart.


A Perfect Circle - 3 Libras
But I threw you the obvious just to / See if there's more behind the / Eyes of a fallen angel / Eyes of a tragedy

Most everyone must've heard this song already, but I am compelled to put it here because of APC's sheer awesomeness. For those of you who haven't heard it, I believe the lyrics speak for themselves.


A Static Lullaby - Let Go
So let go, let go / Jump in / Oh well, whatcha waiting for? / It's alright / Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

This one is a rockish/semi-screamy remake of one of Frou Frou's greatest hits, but fans of the original version should not be discouraged from checking this one out. I'm usually leery about remakes of this sort, but this one has my vote. Do note that if you guys want to hear the original, I'll be more than happy to upload it. ♥


Anberlin - Paperthin Hymn
I just want one more chance / To put my arms in fragile hands / I thought you said forever / Over and over

...Um, yeah. A lot of people might get turned off by these lyrics (it does border a bit on emo), but Anberlin's not bad to listen to at all. I don't have many songs from them, and I do like this one fairly well.


Ben Lee - Gamble Everything for Love
Gamble everything for love, gamble everything / Put it in a place you keep what you need / You can gamble everything for love if you’re free / You gotta gamble everything for love

This song is sheer perfection. It's got this quiet, eerily calm feel to it, but you can almost feel the desperation of the voice in this song. What can I say other than the fact that it's Ben Lee and it's great?


The Tea Party - Emerald
Just be still my emerald / I'll be waiting for you / Do exactly what your told / I'll be waiting for you

I don't think The Tea Party ever made it big in the Philippines, but they're a multi-talented rock band with stunning lyrics and Celtic and folk undertones to most of their works. If "The Kill" is my top recommendation in this set, this song -- "Emerald" -- is a very, VERY close second.

Got pretty much nothing done at the office today because I woke up late and I had to leave early in order to go to the hospital for Test #3. That's fine, though -- work is slowing down again. I'll probably have things lined up for next week. Will be back at the hospital for the doctor's consultation tomorrow, armed with all the test results... everything sounds pretty much normal according to the tests I've read, but I had no way to interpret the blood test, so we'll have to see.

Dad will be coming with me, though. That might be difficult. He's allergic to doctors and surgery and radiation and such, so I expect to see him and the doctor having a mini-showdown in her office. ~_~

The hardest part will be waking up in time for the appointment, though, to be honest. It's at 9 AM and my house is far from Medical City so I'll have to be up by 6 AM. SIX-FUCKING AM. D8

On a lighter note, I called ADMU up and confirmed the grad studies gig~ I'll be joining the masses and enrolling this semester. Now I just have to wait on word about the teaching gig with the Eng Dept. Maybe it's high time that I follow them up. o_o

Btw, the Supernatural season finale was sad but generally not as awesome as I would've liked it to be. The season finale for House, though... there are no words. x_X
