Because I Was Tagged! D:
* Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.
* Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules.
1. I believe that you can apply the same analogy they use for pitchers and catchers the way they do with writers and editors. And mind you -- both pitchers and writers are delicate creatures.
2. About a fourth of my entries to this LJ are about my brothers, namely the crazy one. About half of my entries will mention my family in general in some which way.
3. Fanfiction scares me more than real fiction does because their writers need to lay off the happy pills and lay on the smart most of the time. And I'm allergic to stupid, so.
4. I sleep with two blankets no matter how hot/cold it is.
5. I vaguely remember doing a meme like this before, but I'm too lazy to check.
6. Music is an important factor in my writing. It is so important, in fact, that I make "soundtracks" and playlists for characters/pairings and things like battle mixes.
7. Most people who came from my course or study the same material I do in some other way complain that their "training" sucks the fun out of anything they watch or read. On my end, I actually like the critical kick I get out of it -- it's PART of the fun for me now. I can't imagine reading/watching without it.
8. I cannot hold on to an LJ icon for more than a month at a time these days.
9. I wanted to be a fighter pilot or an astronaut because I had watched Top Gun at a young, impressionable age. Then, when I realized that I couldn't because of my eyesight, I changed my mind and wanted to be a marine biologist instead. And then I picked up a pen.
10. I apparently always sneeze at least twice in a row.
Tagging: WHOEVER. Seriously. :D
Spent my morning burning off some of my accumulated shit on DVD-Rs, and promptly spent the rest of the day reading The Marriage Stone, a Harry Potter fic that
Hold your horses, fangirls. It's a commendable fic and it's epic, but srsly: the prose REEKS pretentiousness. And don't read the author's notes unless you're up for an unhealthy dose of Ficcer Going MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEAWESOMEMEMEMEMEMEMEME like, 98% of the time.
I'm not going to drop a review. If I did, I may be inclined to bitchslap her with something like "Reading Beowulf does not a smart person make" or something less-than-nice.
Seriously, though. It's an interesting fic.
Work tiem again tomorrow. Also: the animu that have come out so far look good. Kurenai, especially. AND DAMN IT WHERE ARE MY SUBS FOR MACROSS FRONTIER?! I CAN ONLY GET SO FAR ON WATCHING A RAW EPISODE, PEOPLE.

It could take a while for Shinsen or one of the other groups to do it. But so far the groups (Anime in Action and Infinite Zero) did a pretty good job, at least from the video-technical standpoint, not sure about the translation

And then laughed about it the day after when I shook myself off of the whole "I wanna be a hero" Zackification I had going for, well, more than half a decade. XD
