Today involved Brain Death on several different levels.
I should be adding John Dryden to that list, but I don't think I have enough mental energy to tide me through all 38 pages of his essay.
Power grid that my main light is connected to has been knocked off for some reason and I doubt that it'll be fixed any time soon. Sticking to the trusty old lamp I've had since I was in grade school. There's something about my house that swallows up belongings and its lack of hot water without a manual heater and its funky electronic dead spots and overabundance of computers that could almost be considered charming.
I only managed to catch
miguel_zeruel in the morning and I didn't see
khursten at all. We're all busy trying to save our asses down here.
And the internet is back to normal. Oh joy.
- Water Margin Chapters 38-40. Yes. I had to read bits of the original text from which the Suikoden game series was based off of. No, it's not really accurate. We'll be doing Journey to the West soon, and boy am I looking forward to comparing Sanzo to his real counterpart in literature.
- The Distinctive Art of Chinese Fiction by Paul S. Ropp. It's not as distinctfully artsy as it sounds.
