It's good to be mixing again, and even better to be writing again. Currently working on a *cough* surprise KHR! fic, and it's going well. I just might make the deadline without problems.
As some of you already know, I went out with my folks to the Canadian Embassy. Passport renewal is death serious business, so serious, in fact, that it entailed being stuck on the road for nearly two hours (CURSE YOU, WEATHER!) and another hour-long wait because the dudes ahead took forever and a day.
Was supposed to go and see
khursten (and later meet up with the Koushien for dinner along Tomas Morato), but we had to take a rain check because lol, well. Rain. Anyway, ended up tagging along with my folks the whole day - first to Glorietta (mom wanted to get her watches fixed at the service center), then to Megamall (dad wanted to canvas the prices of shotguns at the gun convention).
In spite of the fact that I've only pretty much just gotten home, it was rather nice, spending time with the folks. One funny thing that happened today was my dad attempting to read what I was working on over my shoulder. I... sort of panicked because I was doing gay porn. Um. Yeah. /)_(\
Oh, I also saw
yukitsu for a bit! We finally got our gelato! ♥
Because of all the waiting time I had today, I got to finish Misha McGlenny's McMafia, after nearly a year of picking it up and putting it down. It's a fascinating read exploring the relationship between organized crime and globalization, and I strongly recommend it to whoever's into those topics.
With that done, I can go on to crawling through the other selections on my book shelf, and the book that
lonelybusiness lent me a long, long, LONG time ago. *sob* RL keeps me pretty much too busy to really go through books unless I'm in transition or transport, since I'm usually occupied with so many other things when I'm actually free.
This has to change, though. Gotta make reading for leisure a much more regular habit, the way it used to be.
Funky animu again this season. Bakemonogatari and Tokyo Magnitude 8 look exceptionally well-done, for one.

Getting back to reading = good. I've been trying to do more of that myself. More reading, less staring blankly at the computer.
...mmm. Gelato. That makes me want to go get some. But I should probably spend my money on practical things like... something to take the cat hair off the furniture. :P

YES, LESS STARING AT THE SCREEN. Although, it is very hard not to do that sometimes. orz
But gelato is always worth it! /obviously diabetic for a reason

...very hard. Bah. I should be doing things like cleaning right now, in fact.
If I were going in the direction of the store that actually sells it, I would probably give in. I bet I'll end up with ice cream instead. /lactose intolerant, doesn't care

Oh, you're lactose intolerant? I'm only mildly so, I think. XD;

Yeah. Have been for ~5 years now. Which sucks when you live in a place known for its cheese. Which people then put on everything. :/
