highlights of 2007, big & small, good & nasty.

These are listed in no particular order. I think.

• Going under the knife for the first time evar.
  
• Being diagnosed with cancer before the age of 25.
  
• The first Read or Die Philippines Convention.
  
• Working for the Philippine STAR.
  
• Getting odd jobs that pay enough to buy me pretty things.
  
• Buying a 320 GB external hard drive and books to boot.
  
• Being able to download torrents that are over 30 GB big at a time.
  
• Having over 200 DVD-Rs in stock for a while.
  
• Burning bridges with people, building new ones with other people, and somehow returning to those who are really worth it in the end.
  
• Dealing with all levels of stupid and brilliant, then somehow managing to come out of both types of incidents in one piece.
  
• Family road trips all over the Philippines.
  
• Lights Out 4, and all the new peeps I met there.
  
• Going back to college after a strange but refreshing break.
  
• Anime, anime, anime, j-drama, j-drama, j-drama, BL, BL, BL, games, games, games, books, books, books.
  
• Realizing that actually, I can watch Japanese stuff and more than sorta get what's going on.
  
• Meeting established writers and hearing them say that I'm worth the market.
  
• Being apparently cool enough to merit strange company and stalking incidents.
  
• Buying my own Playstation 2, with gracious donations from wonderful friends.
  
• Commuting liek teh shiz. With help.
  
• Getting published.
  
• Accomplishing NaNoWriMo for the second time in a row.
  
• Realizing that I'm not obligated to love certain people, and ending up freer for it.
  
• World of Darkness campaign.
  
• Witnessing a hero's burial, and marching with the coffin.
  
• Getting a 3.90 in a semester.
  
• Witnessing Litsoc come alive again.
  
• Receiving a paid LJ account and readily abusing the features.
  
• Getting my nails done in strange colors for the first time.
  
• Having learned how to wield a blow dryer effectively against my hair.
  
• Being told by my dad that I'm past 21 and I can do whatever the hell I want.
  
• Meeting relatives whom I haven't seen in years. And a few that I never got to meet before.
  
• Smoking and drinking with said relatives, who still think I'm ten but are glad to see me growing up anyway.
  
• Standing around on the seventh floor of a building with a 360 degree view of a metropolis sending fireworks into the sky at every single corner.
  

I sure hope I'm not forgetting anything. o_o
