I haven't been posting much of anything here lately. I doubt that it's just because I've been busy with school.

.... *stares at Plurk*

THAT REMINDS ME. IF ANYONE IS WILLING TO JOIN ME OVER AT the darkside PLURK, USE THIS LINK TO SIGN UP. YOU WILL MAKE ME TOTEMO HAPPY DESU.

*coughs*

Right. Anyway, an eventful weekend was eventful! Friday was a pretty "light" day for me (Library Orientations for both my En11 classes + a short and sweet lecture for my Lit 13 class), so I still had some energy left over to handle Kritika Kultura's late afternoon meeting. I now have a better idea of exactly what I signed up for, and I'm not sure whether I'm going to like it, but I do know that it'll be good for me in the long run. :<

Friday evening traffic totally fucked my mood over and sapped up my energy, but it was lovely seeing [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu, [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel, [livejournal.com profile] khursten and Sarah! We ate dinner and spazzed on random stuff before Sarah, Khursten, Yukeh and I went off to watch Wanted. Lynffles didn't join us because she had already watched it and she wanted to go home in order to put in more Plurking tiem.

There are no words to describe that movie's awesomeness. o_o

Got home real late and Plurked a bit more (SEE HOW IT IS TAKING OVER MY LIFE?), but that's okay because my Lit 251 class was going to be a free cut anyway. Slept in, Plurked even more, then zipped off to ADMU to attend my second class. All the readings I'm taking up are giving me a much wider vision of what graduate studies are like and what just how expansive the literary world really is. It's some kind of majorly cool.

Met up with Yukeh after class, and we headed over to Gateway to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] innocentlyjaded, [livejournal.com profile] lonelybusiness, [livejournal.com profile] dreamlesssness (YES, FINALLY!), and... *drumroll* [livejournal.com profile] team7, who was totally eaten up by her job and stuff and IT'S JUST AMAZING TO SEE HER AGAIN, Y'KNOW? Read or Die things were discussed, game plans were drawn up, and spazzing was accomplished. Dinner was great -- I just wish I could've enjoyed it more. Heat + not really eating decently the whole day took its toll on me, so I kinda sicked up sometime before I had to head home. Sorry about that, guys. ~_~

Will be going to Mass in a bit. I'm willing to waste most of this day away because there won't be classes for us profs tomorrow -- it's ACP day, so all the college kids have some required thing or another to attend to make them Jesuits happy. I'm supposed to join Kristel and Yukeh for RoD business, but I'm not sure whether I can charter a ride.

I haven't posted music in a while, so here's a new mix to celebrate my first LJ post in nearly a week.

Techno meets Science Fiction: The Mix that Every Veritech Pilot Needs in His Bird. )

Links to previous mixes:
Love Songs Mix: The Last Love Songs on Earth (Set One) || Set Two [MASSIVE DUMP]
Special Mix: Sadface Songs - The Polite Version (Set One) || Set Two || Set Three
Battle Songs Mix: State of Emergency (Set One). || Set Two

Btw, if you guys want me to start posting just the music without blurbs or if you're okay with me posting 2-3 mixes at once, let me know.

I will devote another post to my epiphany on Hibari Kyouya of KATEKYO HITMAN REBORN! fame. >_>;
BATANES ENTRY HERE DESU.

Now, uh... the real reason why I'm making this post. Here's a y!m conversation I had with [livejournal.com profile] kye_kestrel while I was watching Soul Eater episode 3, Late Night edition.

Me: my god.
Me: can you imagine if Death the Kid’s weapons were two guys?
Me: ... *_*
Her: that'd be...
Her: i have no words for it. +_+
Me: “...EVEN YOUR DICK SIZES AREN’T SYMMETRICAL. *grope!*”
Me: .....omg. >_<
Me: i think i just died.
Her: your brain is working on overdrive, pammeth.
Her: i couldn't have thought of these possibilities.
Me: ahurhur. this is going on LJ.
Her: XD

...So, there you have it. 8D

Beyond submitting my application form to ADMU's grad studies office (FINALLY!), I've been watching animu pretty much the whole day.

EDIT: PEOPLE WATCH MACROSS FRONTIER 4 ALREADY IF YOU'RE SLOW LIKE ME. ALTO! WITH MAKE-UP! DDDD8
This weekend ended wonderfully, and was the best possible thing a girl could ask for after having an exceptionally harrowing week.

Saturday: [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu came over although she slept in and should have been around earlier than she was but she fails at waking up so yeah 8D -- we fixed my room (sort of... at least everything's been shoved out of sight and my bookshelf is back to being pretty? o_o), bought (and ate) ice cream, and watched Macross Frontier and Appleseed. Deunan Knute goes right up there with Balsa and Balalaika on my Tough Women I Want to Have Babies With Even Though They'll Prolly Kill Me list, and THERE IS SOMETHING FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG/RIGHT WITH ALTO BEING KANDA!FACE + ABE!VOICE. D:

Today: The usual Sunday gig, 'cept Petrik's family made a guest appearance; Anika got to bully bugger Dad with her cuteness in order to get him to crack nuts for her (no, for serious: she's fascinated at how he does it), and Petrik and Yas talked to my mom about their Church wedding plans. They might have the ceremony in Taal, with the Punzalan Ancestral House as a possible venue for the reception. They left an hour or so after lunch, and everyone kinda went their separate ways... I did some more writing (mostly backlogged drabble ideas from WAY back for Endtimes) and picked up where I left off with the doujinshi downloading madness. [livejournal.com profile] hitman_reborn is a bad place to be for a fangirl like me. *coughs*

Being able to do absolutely useless things is very satisfying -- I'm listening through the music lists for my stories (and all characters/pairings/battles within) and STILL downloading KHR porn doujin, and [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu and I are also spamming each other's inboxes with FF.net alerts while we update our accounts with all the crap we've written these past few months. People who have me on Author Alert must hate me for the huge-ass fic dumps I have a tendency to do. XD

Right. Now, since third time's the charm and all, if you haven't already answered this poll for me, please answer. THE TIES MUST BE BROKEN.

EDIT: I POSTED MORE STUFFAGE @ THE WRITING JOURNAL YAY!

EDIT 2: Posted again. It's Oofuri porn this time. ♥♥♥
I started Empire of Ivory (fourth book in the Temeraire series) yesterday, sometime before [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu swung by to hang around and generally do nothing -- ended up reading well past 2 in the morning, and just finished it now after lunch.

some thoughts. Spoilerific, sort of? )

2008 is going to be an exceptionally good year for video games, anime and books, from the looks of it. Book 5 of the Temeraire series is due, along with Persona: Trinity Soul on the anime end and Baroque, another game by Atlus. Wii users, you will be happy to note that Baroque will have a Wii version.

So anyway, yesterday was extremely fun and relaxing: Yukeh and I were supposed to go to Makati that afternoon, but her college buddies ended up canceling. We opted to stay at home instead, where I packed in a few more good hours with Devil Summoner in between plotting bits and pieces for Bloodsport. Now I have this day to rest and catch up on more of the anime episodes that I've let accumulate over the past few days. This might just be my only time to do it, because:

December 31 - Arrival of my Dave Mason, my brother Pio's childhood friend from Vancouver + Peralejo New Year's Party, in which the whole clan will be present. Again.
January 1 - Arrival of my brother Philip from Toronto, along with his family.
January 2 - Something is bound to come up, so I'm putting it here anyway.
January 3 & 4 - BAGUIO.
January 5 - Wedding.
January 6 - Hustling home, prolly tired as hell and glad to miss out on the Barrion family reunion, because an occasion that bit really ought not to be annual but you didn't read that from me.
January 7 - SKUEL ONOZ.

Been posting a lot about my family as of late. It's no wonder my LJ is suddenly Googleable if people need to find us.

On another note, does anyone know whether you can get rid of that stupid Writer's Block section on your LJ interface? The retardedness of the questions is starting to get on my nerves. >_>

[EDIT @ 4:42] OMFG MACROSS FRONTIER EPISODE 1 WAS JUST SDL;GHOEIHOQGROH;SADGLHOAHB FRAKKING BEAUTIFUL. *incoherence!
...See, I know I should get a Multiply account now that I've taken to abusing Abel!Phone's camera, but getting one means maintaining yet another webpage. Besides, I think I suck at taking photos, and all of them are from a camera phone anyway. =_= Anyway.

ZE GLORIOUS LJ CUTTAGE! )

And tomorrow, it's a commuting trip to Laguna, all for the love of [livejournal.com profile] ravyn_ashling.

Yes, yes. Drabbles, I know. *pushes [livejournal.com profile] yukitsu and [livejournal.com profile] archangel_dream down*

Btw, Code Geass 23 had its moments. Lelouch was, for one and as usual, the sole redeeming factor the whole episode. At least the Token Pink-haired Girl(tm) is finally dead.
Interest Cloud, gacked from LJ friends. )

Let's begin with a shameless plug: [livejournal.com profile] audiography. I will forever be in [livejournal.com profile] khursten's debt for referring this comm to me. If you love your music, go there. You'll find it in abundance.

News item of the day: Sentou Yousei Yukikaze has a novel. I know no other details beyond the fact that it exists and that it varies on several counts from the 5-episode OAV that a good lot of us are more familiar with. I heard from [livejournal.com profile] petronia and her entries, however, that it is no less slashier than the OAV was. *fufu*

There's been a lack of updates in this place because there really isn't much to say. Third year is over, fourth year will be coming. That about sums it up.

Am a victim of a restlessness that I can't place, but the company of friends helps. The writing hasn't stopped though, so there isn't any trouble on that end. Seems to me like it's contest season, but I treat the thought of submitting anything with ambivalence. Sure, you could say that I'll never know unless I try, but there's always the thought that maybe it might not be ready and maybe I want to write other things.

Times like this made me wish there were more openings for novels.

I've got a book on Gay Astrology sitting by my printer (and other boosk on the shelves thinking that they've been forgotten), a newly-tuned Bluetooth network to make transferring files easier, several documents open on Microsoft Word waiting to be filled, episodes of a whole lot of shit to watch and the summer heat knocking on my window. The 60-60-60 drabbles things is proving to be more fun and challenging than I originally thought it would be. Am about to hit 30 on the count. And no, I refuse to do 120. *shoos the advocates of that idea away* For those of you who are actually interested in reading what I've got, you can find them in the latest entries of [livejournal.com profile] stitchedophelia. Mm-hm. Too lazy to link them up. ._.;

Still here, still waiting.

Updating from Nikolai. This makes me want that laptop even more. Good thing the parents are receptive towards the idea. I will be naming him Aidan in all likelihood. :3 Will be changing the name of one of Alistair's drives to Ouki as a result. Alistair is sure to be sad.

Numb towards requirements. I've got my midterm orals exam for Philosophy tomorrow (part of the reason why I can't make it to the RoD meet this time around ~_~), Retellings critical analysis of the Met's take on Romeo & Juliet (4 pages in; debating on whether I should bother with editing), Long Test #3 in Math 12 on Tuesdays (read: scr00d on Singles Awareness Day), Battle Royale analysis for Ethics with [livejournal.com profile] pyrosinferno somewhere next month and the Retellings compilation thingie (7 pages and counting for my yakuza Cinderella~ <3). There will be other things in the coming weeks, I'm sure.

Somebody tell me that I'm not the only one in the audience who's feeling weird over the passage of this semester. @_@

Annoyance over being kicked out of Retellings is slow to pass. It wouldn't have happened if I had known about what was going on. I asked, nobody told. Oh well. =_=

LO ladies, if I'm coming to turn up tomorrow it'll only be for the dinner or what-have-you that will be happening afterward. Details as to where you all will be following the RoD meet are needed.

I still hold by the fact that Sentou Yousei Yukikaze is one of the best science fiction series I've watched yet. Five episodes long, and each of them's pure love. If you haven't watched it already and you're unwilling to do the BT piracy rounds online, folks, it'll be coming out on Animax. The rampant boy love in it brought about by the fact that it's gay without ever meaning to be is a plus too.

"Out of the way, all of you! Just get out!"
"If you wanted them to do that, you shouldn't have shot out their legs."
"*insert diabolical chuckling here*"

Lacus Clyne's 'Freedom Force' in Gundam Seed Destiny, episode 43 (Violet Dom units, bebeh.)

\spoiler

Yuna got crushed by a big blue thing, and to quote Ilian's maker on this it's too bad it wasn't a huge dildo.

/end spoiler

I did make it through last week, for those of you who cared enough to know. And your care is appreciated. Just, don't ask about the tests. Let's just say I'm happy to make it through with all limbs in place, including my head on neck. It's just a good thing Mr. Gloom and Doom didn't rub off on me the whole time. I can't say the same for a few other people in the group though.

Yesterday was a refreshing experience, having Bitchpartner-in-crime and Team Uke over for a few hours (She thought of the name, not me). The bro and I wanted to follow them out to the mall afterward, but the driver was going to deliver my parents to social functions and there was no way for us to fit ourselves in. Stayed home and watched the other brothers play Lord of the Rings: Third Age instead. It's a very interesting RPG system, and the graphics aren't bad either. Quite impressive.

Something about chanting makes any experience mystical. Couple it with some synthesizer work and rave beats and it's even better at times. He would agree with me on this, I'm sure.

Note to self: Save up for the Cassandra Cain compilations from DC, the Batman arcs with LoA on the side, No Man's Land, Sandman, Birds of Prey, Lucifer and maybe a copy of JLA: Identity Crisis. To all parties who owe me money: Might I impart upon your debt soon? ;_;

Expect something up on Stitched-O and Reuk soon. There's a piece that's been screaming to go online for quite some time now.

Has anyone read the works of Nando the RPS King on FF.net? He/she has been reviewing my Suikoden fiction and adding it to his/her faves. All praises and stuff, for things I wrote in high school. High school. I don't know whether to be happy or curl up and die from embarassment.

EDIT / about 15 minutes later: I posted something to Stitched-O and Reuk after all.
